I fully agree with the previous post. Roth should have made an appearance, as he owed it to the fans. While I will always believe that "real Van Halen" ended in the year 1984, I also give Sam credit for acting like a professional last night. Dave should take note.

I give Sam credit for that also. The hyperbole drives me nuts sometimes, but the guy is media savvy and a pro, but still part ass clown. He's at least smart enough to usually say the right thing though.

I still say Dave made the right move by staying away from any association with this debacle though. He woulda likely said something again that he'd come to regret. He's holding out hope for a real reunion. I really don't think anything positive, as far as that goes, could've come from him attending. If anything, his absence once again pointed out how bad R&R misses him, and how bad VH needs him, if they do in fact care to be relevant again.

What last night showed is how spammy and bass player had nothing to do with the greatness that is Van Halen. If Dave would of showed up it might somehow validate bass player and spammy's place in Van Halen. All the key members of Van Halen werre missing. Yet those 2 had the balls to show up and once again ride the coat tails of EVH and DLR, not surprised!
The gravy train has left for those 2 for the last time, thank GOD!

All i got to say is that Dave would have made it better...him not showing up just shows how much of a baby he has become. The OLD DAVE would have really kicked ass....So Ed is getting help? Thought he did that already....sorry excuse not to show up for what should have been the biggest thing for them...could have gotten help afterwards????
I think if this reunion thing was for real and Ed did go for help, at least Alex and Dave should have had the balls to show up...hell even had Wolf show up in his DAD's place??? You guys seem so brainwashed on here about how great Dave is(was)....tell me...what has he done for you lately?
I am just trying to say, if they want to make people happy, just be men enough to show up for stuff...do what you say you are going to do...dont use drinking and needing help as an excuse...they have been drinking and partying for years....and now all of a sudden Ed needs help??? CVH right now reminds me of an old boxer, formally a great champion, who's WAY past his prime.

The fans keep watching in the hope that some of the old glory will come back, sitting on the edge of their seets waiting for the old knockout punches...

Agreed, The RRHOF is a joke and I am glad The Diamond One stayed away. We can only hope that Dave and AL are planning a huge tour while Ed gets his act together. If this is not the case, then VH IS DEAD. Fatgar with his pet monkey are the last vision fans will ever see. Sorry, but this whole thing really has me pissed. I don't give a frogs fat ass how nice of a guy Hagar is. The fans want DLR onstage with Ed again, not Hagar too. He had his run with The Bore Tour back in 2004. It is only fitting that the greatest frontman of all time, rides out into the sunset with the king of six strings and turns the last page in VH history. The Diamond One must return.

Dave has made some mistakes in the past, but this isnt one of them.

Dave saved himself embarrassment. without the brothers to perform with it would have been bad. your as good as your band and if dave cant bring his own or be with the brothers.... the smartest thing he could have done was not show.

there was no way dave was gonna sit and watch sammy.


Dave is no dummy. he made a very wise decision and saved himself from embarrassment.

MA & SH sounded absolutely horrible. even worse than they usually do. sammys voice was shot. not that it isnt normally but it really showed how bad he is.

funny thing, back in the day when dave wasnt working. everyone made fun of dave and how he hasnt sang in a long time and couldnt. dave was in bad shape back then.

now look, Dave looks and sounds the best out of all of them. by far!!!! funny how the tables turn.


last thing I needed to feel bad about is hearing dave sing with a shit ass band like VR or paul schaffers band. VH is something PS should never do. he has tried in the past too and always sucks.
