Sadly, having perused the Links lately, it appears that I wasn't the only one to notice any ripping-off of the old era of VH.

Of course, I guess I could expect it out of those guys over you guys. They've probably listened to the new song dozens of times more than you guys.

And since most of them probably aren't dealing with absolute disgust over the new song, they might have had time to actually listen to content other than Sam's screeching.

My musical intellect is limited to pretty much "If it sounds good,it is good". I don't think it sounds good. I cannot enter the debate about what part of what song comes from what year. I just dont get that technical. However, the song sounds watered down. It has been edited, modified, and remixed straight into a subpar, mediocre, remnant of what it could have been. It starts fine and dandy, but it just don't follow through. As far as new sound goes. The first 20 seconds maybe. After that if falters. For men with their potential, expertise, experience, whatever, whether fronted by Spam or Dave, it does not measure up.

Well Doc from the way you wrote I didn't think it was very clear that you were implicitly bashing the song...I thought you were trying to compliment it saying that it sounded like those other songs.

In any event I doubt Eddie was thinking of those songs when writing this piece of shit, and I don't even think he was thinking of the two Van Hagar songs I think it sounds like, "Humans Being" and "Runaround." It just came out that way because unfortunately I don't think he's got anything new left in him. The last truly new stuff, that didn't sound like anything else he did, that he had in him was the Gayry material and it was horrible.
