I would rather wait for a cleaned up Ed than see him trash the legacy of Van Halen like he did on the 2004 tour and the Namm performance was brutal, this showed that he clearly was not of stabe mind.

He was cleaned up on the Cherone tour and his playing was all the better for it, he ripped on that tour, there is no denying.

When I got drunk at 20 I could still function the next day, I had an energy that was unstoppable.

When I get drunk at 40 I'm a miserable cunt and it takes me 3 days to get over a big night.

Wanting a tour now is a selfish request by the fans. I would prefer Van Halen to be more than 1 shitty tour. Ed needs this rehab, he has needed it since 1985(ie. Van Hagar)

Ed needs to get out of there (Rehab) because when he gets out he will be a miserable prick and you can bet he will put the kabosh on Dave's return. A sober Eddie and David Lee Roth will never share the same stage in this lifetime. Eddie's problem isn't drugs anyway. He is just mental now. Something shorted out up there. Maybe drugs caused it, but the damage is done so drugs can't really do much more harm. He needs to stock up on whatever he thinks he needs and lock himself in his studio and start rehearsing. It's Eddie Van Halen. Three solid months of rehearsal and he'll be capable of a tour. I just don't think he has enough interest in playing rock star anymore to put the effort in.

You guys make me laugh with this shit. !st, i didn't realize that NAMM was a fucking concert, just thought it was ED showing off the new guitars, in which he played with more balls, than i heard in yrs. Second, Ed needs to, like Dave said, dry out. If Dave is saying this, and he is in much closer contact and in the know, than i'm willing to just wait it out.

If you guys don't have any good solid info on the subject, i would say that starting this type of bullshit thread, is pointless. Ed'd in rehab, when he comes out, whatever happens will happen. All we can do is hope, that VH will record and tour.
