I just don't see what other choice any of them have.

Roth can keep making left hand turns, career-wise, but the product he's put out over the last 4 years and jobs he's undertaken have all bombed, commercially speaking. He can keep touring solo and cranking out the CVH for the diehards, but realistically he's gonna draw maybe a few thousand a night headlining on his own.

What's Ed gonna do? Get a fourth singer in there? Keep making demos in his home studio that nobody's ever gonna hear? Continue smacking EVH logos on guitar gear?

Am sure none of them really need the money, but I can't imagine any of them being that complacent that they've gotten a great degree of satisfaction out of the last several years and the way things have turned out, considering they were all at the top of mountain together all those years ago. Stumbling around the valley after you've scaled the highest peaks can't be satisfying, at least I wouldn't think so.
