I could see Meatloaf fronting Van Hagar.

"I would do anthing for Cheese"
    "But I wont lose fat"

Actually all joking aside I think Sammy is actually
larger than Meatloaf these days.... Meatloaf
    lost a lot of weight...

I dont think the boys have it in them. I have never heard that band sound so bad. looks as its over so who cares.

I dont even think Dave could wip them into shape. its ironic how ed said Dave needed help to get back to rock n roll but now look who needs help. Van Hagar is terrible.

ed is really on cloud 9 to make a statement that tey are gonna rock and nobody will be dissapoointed. WRONG!

Think the bottom line for me as far as classic Van Halen reuniting is if it's anything less than stellar, what's the point?

Dave and VH reuniting for the cash and doing an oldies only tour with average performances would be worse than nothing at all. There's little value for me in seeing Dave reunite with Van Halen just for the sake of reuniting/seeing them play those classics one more time for that in and of itself.

I'd want to hear what they could come up with in terms of new material. If it's exclusively focusing on the classic era that someone wants, there's plenty of boots out there and plenty of officially unreleased stuff that would make a killer box set. That's gonna do the trick better than a reunited lineup in terms of evoking memories of when they were kings.

But all of you claim the band cant play anymore and that they are done.

                Some say...

"DAMN... Eddie, Mike and Alex look, sound and play like shit. They need to hang it up... They are done."

                Then some say...

"Boy, I wish Dave was back... he would whip them into shape quick and they would be at #1 doing 70,000 seat stadiums and living it up like 1978...

                Then some say...

"Boy, Dave better stay away from this train wreck... He should put the EEAS band back together and forget about the brothers."

So which one is it... COME HOME or STAY AWAY.?!
There's really no contradiction, it's a combo of all 3, lemme xplain.

                1) "DAMN... Eddie, Mike and Alex look, sound and play like shit. They need to hang it up... They are done."

2.) "Boy, I wish Dave was back... he would whip them into shape quick and they would be at #1 doing 70,000 seat stadiums and living it up like 1978..."

3.) "Boy, Dave better stay away from this train wreck... He should put the EEAS band back together and forget about the brothers."

We all wish that Dave was back with the VH Bros. But the sad state that they are in right now, although we do wish he would reunite and straighten them out, it doesn't appear to be worth Dave's while.

                No contradiction bro.

I agree there is a lot of waffling going on at this site.
