I was shocked as well, but I knew that the secondary (scalpers) market prices would be outrageous.

I'm in my late 30's, as are a large % of DLR/CVH fans. Lots of dudes the same age who loved VH and make much cash nowadays. Wall Street, corporate types.

If the tour is any good, (ie, if Eddie can fucking remember how to play) expect the prices to go higher.

I'm on vacation for the next week with no internet access...hope the Boston show(s) doesnt go on sale before I get back, or i'm fucked.

I think that the key here is that the band themselves are not calling this a 'reunion'.

Smartest thing they ever did.

In 2005 I drove 5 hours to see DLR in Deleware with Brian Young and Ray Luzier.

It's a pretty safe bet that people want to see DLR with Eddie and Alex Van Halen...
