I'm sure as the dates approach, the North Carolina crowd will organize a meet and drink - and there will be good times to be had before the shows. You and anyone should be invited (I would say 'you are invited' but I don't have any kind of authority around here to make those determinations :D )

By the way - excellent choice sending your kid to UNC-CH!!

I can be pretty longwinded so if he expects me to "go away", he will be waiting for a loooooong time!Noboby wants to pay a ginormous amout to see any band.I don't either, but i am for these guys. And I suffer no guilt from it. Sometning I have wanted to happen for 23 years is happening and fuck-all what the cost. After all the kids are paid for and so is the house:-)

btw, the wife is going with me to 2 of the shows, and the boys are each going to get "Van Halenized" with the other2. My oldest actually heard Van Halen live "in utero". Could explain why he loves this band as much as his mean old Dad.

Do you have to know before you try to learn? Do you have to know you will like it before you listen?Do you have to know the ending before you read the book? Does suprise intimidate you?If your answer is yes to any of the above, keep walkin, you'll only bore me.

Sorry about the typos good people.Recently had the old cast removed (broke hand and arm in 3 places) and the fingers are not as nimble as I wish. All this arguing should expedite breaking up the scar tissue.LOL

My 80 Invasion may fit.I was into a lot of elbow bending, working out with $2.00 pitchers in those days so I'm thinking i may have scored that one in ex lg. Mean Streets is the province of the oldest, and Hide Your Sheep from 82 has been claimed by the baby brat. Both know that these tshirts can only be worn for a certain event. One they are looking forward to almost as much as me!

I'm expecting the experience of buying the tickets as being like having my ass cheeks ripped assunder.

Congrats! That's a lot more than I'd pay for any concert (even Pink Floyd with Waters), but I guess if you're a die hard fan, anything goes.
                    Enjoy!

As for ticket price expectations, they're about what I expected, maybe a little more. What I didn't expect is not having a chance at top tix without competing in a auction and paying a ridiculous price. FUCKING Ticketbastard, how dare they? I know someone will say "supply and demand" but IMO, that shouldn't apply to an event with a finite time frame.
