Is Dave a 25% partner or is he an employee

Does anyone know how the economics of this reunion are working?

Are they splitting all of the profits four ways making Dave an equal partner? Or is Dave a hired gun working on a fixed salary?

It would make me sick to think Dave is not getting his fair share of the profits, or (even worse) that Wolfie is making more than Dave.

If anyone knows anything about the financial arrangements in the reunion please let us know. Thanks.

One thing is for sure, Wolfie will come out of this REALLY well.

Being a minor, any cash he makes will be paid to his legal guardians, i.e. spEd and Val.

On his website Wolfie claims to make $250,000 a year. This may indicate he's an employee and not an equal member.

You can be sure Dave stands to earn far more than a quarter million whether he's signed on for a percentage or a fixed amount.

Other than that I haven't read or heard a thing about these details (but I don't really hang-out anywhere but the RothArmy). Details like hearing he's an equal member of the band would help us all to better speculate whether this "new band" has a future or not.

Regardless of how much money David's making for this, you can rest assured he's working for Eddie and Alex Van Halen now.

            Why?

            Because he's in the band.

All the members will split it equally.

He'll be worth more than $250,000 when this tour is over, He will have at least $5 million if not more.

Just think what it would be like to have that money when you wore 16 years old!

                Are you kidding?

All that Wolfgang money is going into Eddie's "trust fund" for him.

Why do you think Mike was fired in the first place?

First of all, Dave is not stupid enough to sign away his rights to any of that music. Second of all, you don't make a "hired gun" your spokesperson, and I don't know about you folks but that's the way he came across to me in the presser.

                    Yup. Exactly.

Dave was leading the whole presser much like he used to, back in the old days.

Dave would never take a lower cut than Ed and Al. If that were true, they would have reunited many moons ago.

No one has signed away rights to the music they are credited with creating.

Dave, Michael, Sammy & Gary have all signed away their rights to the name Van Halen and all registered logos and trademarks of the band. All retain publishing and royalty rights for the music they co-wrote.

I wouldn't assume Dave is a full partner with Van Halen Music LLC just because he shot off his mouth in a press conference. Odds are he's contracted for a specific percentage or lump per performance payout. Whatever it is will be some acceptable amount but the Van Halens will pull bulk of the pay.

That does make sense. It seemed absolutely foolish that he (Anthony) would have signed away anything more than that, particularly to play on the 2004 tour.
