Nate, so cool. I'm listening to the Dallas feed, so it'll be coming up in a while. Can't wait!
I really played the hell out of 'Me Wise Magic' when they BOV1 came out, but over the last few years, I've played 'Can't Get This Stuff...' more often. Must be my mellow side the last few years showing itself.

Very true, Nick.
And you know what? I think he is drinking again.
I think that Ed's appearance at the press conference was somewhat telling about his condition.
It's been mentioned a few places here, but I think that by and large Eddie's obvious weight loss and somewhat "distorted" appearance at that event has been glossed over by most people in an effort to get the tour underway and hope against hope that ol' Ed hasn't fallen off the wagon...again.
He certainly wasn't the tanned, healthy looking guy of a few short months ago with a "fuller" face, dapper haircut, a million-dollar smile and a bronze tan.
Granted....tans, haircuts, and fake teeth don't last forever unless you maintain them, but I'm genuinely concerned that Ed's problems have returned to some degree...if in fact they ever "went away" in the first place.

Ed looked pretty good to me, although his demeanor seemed like he took a valium before the conference. Maybe he needs them to get along with Dave again.

1) Learn how to quote properly;
2) Read Dave's book, dammit.

Don't get me wrong. He still looked LIGHT YEARS away from those "House of Petals" pictures and the Cheese-a-palooza tour of 2004.
But this Ed...
looks a lot better than the Ed in this pic...
Shit...in that pic from evhgear.com he looks like he's about 35 years old!!! I know it's the difference between a "studio" photo shoot, proper lighting, airbrushing etc.... vs. a "real-time" unvarnished press conference.
But my spidey-sense is tingling that the Smoking Loon is not much further than arms length away...

My mistake.
I've just re-read the chapter, and it's "fuckin'" that Edward pronounces every four words.
He wanted Dave to sing lyrics written by D. Child & Thingummy Ballard (authors of Aerosmith's mall hits), which Dave refused, of course.
Ed said he wanted lyrics that could be written by anybody, whereas Dave's lines had a "substance", after his own words. Those of MWM were obviously aimed at Ed, and they were pretty direct.
Anyway, I'd be both surprised and very glad if they played "Me wise magic" on stage. I reiterate, Dave looked uncomfortable when a journalist evoked both tunes.
I'll watch the vid of the LA press conference one 50th time, in case somebody would ask what I'm talking about again. :D
