This is what that guy that posted this said about Ed:

I thought he sounded great. My friend who plays guitar and first
saw him play in 1979 thought he played a little sloppier than she's
seen before, but thought he was still phenomenal. Ed did say before
the show started that he had a concussion and a black eye and warned
"don't expect too much from me tonight." I didn't notice an injury
so I'm not sure what he was talking about.


On Dave:

I thought he did great, yes. There were a couple of times where he
was using that higher octave that I didn't think worked as well, but
most of the time he was on. "Mean Street" in particular he just
absolutely nailed.

I’ll tell ya John, I’ve seen CVH in 79, 80, 81, 82 and in 1984 and I’ve always considered myself CVH’s #1 fan. But I have to say that you give me a run for my money. When you see this show, please give me an honest review. The money is tight around the Hammonds household and I don’t like giving my hard earned money to multi-millionaires who don’t deserve it. If Ed is sloppy and if Dave bullshits instead of singing, I’m not going. My memories of when they ruled the world will have to do.

Yesterday morning's Mark & Brian Show (KLOS - Los Angeles) talked with Kelly Cox (KLOS DJ) who was at the Rehearsals. She confirmed that she was one of maybe 40-50 people there and that Van Halen sounds SMOKIN !! Mark & Brian asked her if the sound is any different w/Wolfie on board? Kelly said "NO." She, then went on to say that Wolfie does his background vocals and bringing his own thing to the mix and even though Michael Anthony will be missed, the band sounds incredible.

She said the highlight was watching the Dave & Ed chemistry. There was alot of smiling between the two and they DO sound better than ever!

Another confirmation of the Rehearsals sounding BAD ASS!!

Well, we DLR/CVH fans tah thave continuously seen Dave over the recent years know he sounds great and you tell from the photos that the chemisrty looks good!
