It's all about band timing. Something you have to spend hours and hours on to get right. The Police went out under rehearsed. That's what happens when you commit to something when you don't have the goods.

Our guitar player said we would play a talent show. Well, all sorts of excuses came up why certain band members couldn't make it to practice. We didn't have our timing down at all and this guy just figured since the guitar parts were simple, hey, the rest of the band could get it easy. Yeah, the notes were easy but the timing was off. We sucked.

if he said "squeeze" maybe he could crack his voice
but doing it with "squeze" sound its stronger

The only song that I think he doesnt bring it on is Hot for Teacher,But I never thought he did it that great live anyway even back in the day(just my honest opinion) but I always considered that song an over produced studio job which is hard for all involved to duplicate live!

The current live audio of Jump,Pretty Woman,Romeo Delight..etc

..are mind blowing Roth performances to say the least,If you cant afford to go to the show dont be angry at Daves expense!

You lose that if he sings "ah can't ya seh what I meeehn", for example.
