So does anyone have footage of the Dave/Ed moment that has them both sharing some emotion during "I'm The One" ???

Sounds like a very powerful moment for everyone.

Wait, wait, wait... Who's playing this "Smoke on the Water" riff during Ed's solo? Wolf? No, his pumping his bass all the time. I'm pretty sure they are using overdubs here. What a shame!

@Bantonelli, you will see it on the video for "You really Got Me/I'm the One".

There are quite a few rumblings about Ed's playing. And I just sit and listen. I've deduced that those who are saying that he's "rusty" or that he didn't play this-or-that right have a condition called, "Album-itis".

It's when you've listened to the albums so much that you can't hear any creative freedom. Everyone needs to keep in mind that this is a live show. The flubs, the changes are all part of a live show experience. He's actually playing the guitar and he's only got one shot at doing each song, unlike in a recording studio.

Thanks for directing me to the video, Ellyllions.

Tears were streaming down my face as I watched that moment. I was at Charlotte, but would have wished to be in Greensboro for that one moment.

I love that the roar of our applause touches their hearts in a way that is simply PRICELESS.

You need to keep in mind that this is a message board, and you're not a guitar expert, just some chick on a message board...

WHOA... Elvis! Tell me you're kidding?

Ellyllions wasn't claiming to be an expert, she was stating an "opinion" and I think it was one that many of us would agree with.

Again, tell me you were just kidding?

Well in all honesty Ed has made some pretty good mistakes on some of these tunes. Hitting wrong chords and notes aren't part of creative freedom. I'm all for him playing stuff a bit different, but at least do it in the correct key. A wrong note every so often happens to everyone, but you would think Ed wouldn't makes some of the mistakes he has. Perhaps it is nerves, or maybe he's just got a lot of rust.

You'd know better than I would Brownie, but Ed had problems with his rig most of the night in Greensboro....

Cradle Will Rock is a keyboard song, holmes. Of course there is a keyboard overdub, just like on Jump.

No shame in that! I'd rather hear Eddie freaking VH play his guitar and record the keyboards.

I suspect the problems are in his head, along with the rust...

Look at how he chooses to dress on stage! he's still a mental case...

Or perhaps there's a little keyboard player hidden in this mysterious black box:

Pre-recorded keyboards, probably pre-recorded backing vocals, maybe pre-recorded bass...
What the fuck is this - a MILLI VAN ILLI tour?
