According to a press release from Van Halen for the 2004 tour, VH has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide.

Let it be known that Van HALEN has outsold Van Hagar 2 to 1.

CVH album sales will definately rise as a result of this tour. A lot of younger, and in some instances, older rock fans will be exposed to the music of the CVH era and will want to listen to it at home.

In Australia, we saw this kind of reaction to Kiss when they did their reunion in the mid-late 90s. Heaps of magazine features on their early years, teenagers walking around in vintage Kiss t-shirts, and a lot more of their early music on the radio.

Coupled with the current interest in retro rock bands from the 70s/80s, we can expect VH to capitalise in the same way.

I love the US as much as anybody, but these days the rest of the world is a lot more loyal towards bands than the people here in this country. They would be crazy not to consider all markets.

You know he does:D And I think record sales are important everywhere. We are not the only sizable market and loads of European and Asian kids have plenty of disposable cash.So yeah their money matters. And I hope they like our band too.Europe deserves a VH tour.Van Halen was very popular in Germany, UK, and throughout Western Europe.Van Halen travels well and would probably tear the roofs off the new sports arenas of Eastern Europe that have cropped up ince the band was last over there. Here is to a long future with Van Halen.
Do you have to know before you try to learn? Do you have to know you will like it before you listen?Do you have to know the ending before you read the book? Does suprise intimidate you?If your answer is yes to any of the above, keep walkin, you'll only bore me.

If they were to tour the UK, back catalogue sales woudl increase considerably: they are not as much a part of popular culture here as they are inthe US, and consequently not as many people own the albums.

when Motley Cure toured here it created a lot of sales.
