i have many old black and white horror films.
the oldest is a silent film from 1925 starring lon cheney,the man of 1,000 faces(see kiss' gene simmons 1978 solo album) entitled
"PHANTOM OF THE OPERA". it is the original.

Having worked at majors for years and years I'll tell you this. hHis tour proved some things:
1. VH can still deliver live
2. VH can still fill an arena with 20.000 people
3. The interest for VH is still huge
This means that the VH stock has gone up substantially on the market. And they would NEVER release an album on the net or similar. Why? Because they don't need to. There is still a lot of money at the majors when needed. And the advance they would get for a new album + a compilation and maybe a DVD would be ridicilous. And it's all part of the plan my friends.
About the single, nobody like Van Halen releases just a single. The single is just one thing, a marketing tool supposed to create attention for something that is coming; THE album. Because, the single generates no cash. It's the album that will bring in the bucks. And they will lose money on the downloads, but look and see all of a sudden the album will be released two weeks earlier than the original scheduled date. Just to cut some of the downloads.. Some albums will be bougth more than others. This would be one of them...The HammerguyComment
