We'll have the "Best of third world"-album including the long time missed cherone-era, re-mastered live versions of "somebody give me a doctor" with wolfie singing and maybe an update on the official website...and some new gear from ed of course...

    Let's start a hair thread...

Dave will get another radio job. Maybe a side project.

Wolf will sell a few WoW accounts.

            Alex will give annual interviews.

The hEd will lock everyone out of Area 51(50) and emerge 3 years later with a cure for AIDS using shoe polish and peyote.

None of the above! A combination of a few, I believe….

Mike will rejoin the band and the reunion will be on, but with no new material. They will remaster some classics and put out a “best of” CD and hopefully, HOPEFULLY put out a DVD with NEVER seen before live footage of all the tours. If this happens, the world could end already and I wouldn’t even care, because I would die a happy man!

I think the tour with Wolfie they were testing the waters to see if the tour would fizz out, like the previous tour with that red headed dude. Now that they know FOR SURE there’s a major thirst for the “classics,” we will be hearing the “rumors” of Mike rejoining the band in a few months, or several.

I went for the "recording new material, but no plans for a tour" option.

I think they'll wait to see how well anything new is received before they hit the road.

They're no strangers to recording new stuff, and then just leaving it hang there. I give you "Me Wise Magic" and "Can't Get This Stuff No More."

Not the best example, since they were just bait to move more copies of "Best Of Vol. I", but you get what I'm saying.

They could have at least busted one of those tunes out on the tour...

                    My predictions:

By May, Ed and Alex announce recording without being specific of any singer, bassist or lead singer

By Sept, they let slip they're recording without any vocals from Mike, but admit Dave is on all cuts.

By late Dec they announce a January release date, and a tour supporting to include some dates with Mike joining Wolfie onstage.

By this time 6 years ago, I stopped giving a fuck really..

Don't really see them doing anyhing in the near future. Their pockets are full again and Ed is walking down the aisle in June. So much for Van Halen reclaiming their once dominant title as a Summertime touring band and so much for the dvd release of the last tour. I'll settle for the fact that I got to see Ed and Dave onstage together again and leave it at that.

I think, that if the rumours are true, about Dave being fired, we will see Diamond, hit the road this year. I`m sure he will release a new solo album, of hard rocking tunes!
We will also see a very differnent set list, now the reunion, is out the way. His future set lists will be nearly all his solo hits, with a few new tracks, and probably only 3 Van Halen tunes. Dave will go back to being a solo artist, not a Van Halen tribute act!

Really? That is startling, as I had not heard this. Where did you learn of these rumors?

Dave`s solo set lists was 80% Van Halen tunes, in between 1999 and 2006. He dropped nearly all his classic solo hits, and played hardly any new material. Now the reunion is out the way, Dave will now be a solo artist!

Not to nitpick, yet that does not exactly answer my original question: Where did you hear the rumor of the fellow being out of the band? I'd like to check out the site myself.

How does one get fired from a band that he wasn't a member of..?

Once the 07/08 tour concluded... Dave's services as a "paid performer" were completed and no longer needed.
