I agree that it's not Van Halen without Michael Anthony BUT he was one in 1996 that didn't want to work with DLR again. Roth simply referred to him as "the bass player" in his book so it appears there is no love lost there.
As we know the Van Halens strong armed MA out of royalties for last tour with Hager so I'd be surprised if they did reach out to him now but anything is possible in 5150 land.
Eddie needs an enemy, for years it was Roth, now it's Anthony.

I agree that Wolfgang brings nothing to the live shows but he did open door for Roth's return so I'll give him that.
"Hey Dad, this old stuff with Roth is really sick!"
      "Uh, is that good?"
"Ya, it rips. You guys should jam again!"
      "Really? I dunno."

That seems like BS from the DJ (how unusual)
MA has said all along he would have loved to be part
of the original band again. (Just that he was pissed at
them air brushing him out) but they *did* remove
the air brushing, so wtf does he have to complain
            about now ?

I just cant see Eddie giving priority to Sauce over his Son.....

Michael Anthony is of little, to no concern to me... Him, and stupid-ass Hagar can take a flying leap off a high cliff for all I care. This ain't the "Michael Anthony Army", this is the "Roth Army" and I'm primarily concerned with Dave, and his adherance to quality rock... Ed, Al, Mike, Sam, and Gary can all line up to kiss my ass. Dave is the guy that makes this band fly, always was.

What will the future be like with Wolfie? Who the fuck knows... but if "Up for Breakfast" is any indication to the barrage of great ideas that Ed has floating around in that cracked-out, empty fucking skull of his, then in my modest estimation, it will stink. If Dave had total control of the band, like the old days, then I'd hold more hope for goodness, but that's still not a guarantee. Am I mad that MA ain't there? No. I could care less about him. You could train a CHIMPANZEE to play those fuckin' parts, and sound just as good. That'd be like being mad at Aerosmith for touring without Tom Hamilton... I like Tom, but who fucking cares? I want Steve & Joe... and Brad. On the other hand, I don't blame MA for playin with Hagar... Mikey needs to make a living too, and waitin around for Ed to get his ass in gear, well, that might've take fuckin YEARS in 2005(when MA joined Hagar). Remember how screwy Ed was 4 years ago??? Yes, more screwy than NOW.

Wolf permanent?? He's only a permanent member until he grows enough brain to realize his old man is a fuckin looney, then he's out on his own. Dave probably doesn't even really care, as long as he's on stage in ARENAS, makin MILLIONS then he's fine. Dave looks good, sounds good, and I'll bet still has many great musical ideas. I wish Dave was still doin' high kicks(he'll still do a few here and there), drum riser splits, and runnin full blast across the stage, but he still has more charisma than the rest of the band COMBINED, and his voice has never sounded better. I just hope Dave can pull high octane, high quality rock back into a band that hasn't put out a great album in 25 years... 25 fuckin years... and has only recoded like, what, 3 good songs since then??? Somebody fuckin SHOOT ME.

Can you blame Mike for not fucking around with his time, if he's got Chad and Satriani?

Mike's not insane, and the Chickens aren't gonna wait around for Mike to finish.

Robert Plant - we all made fun of him, putting Zeppelin on hold, I thought he was a selfish nut but look at him pulling off a Grammy! I'd say he did the right thing.

I could wait another year for the right lineup, that'll give time for one of the Ten Albums In Can to appear of they even exist.

                    Fat Mullet

Fat Anthony is more hated than Hagar, by Ed/Al ,and even Dave!

He is a two-faced bastard, who stabbed Dave in the back, in 1996, 2000, and 2001. He stirred a lot of shit in the camp, to prevent Dave rejoining Van Halen.

Ed and Al will never speak to Fat Sauce boy again, after he taunted them, by not attending their mother`s funeral!

Fat Mullet was officially fired a week after Mrs Van Halen`s funeral!

Which Bassist are you talking about in Metallica ,Because they replaced Ron McGovney with Cliff Burton And Cliff Burton died.you know. And if I had to deal with James & Lars controlling things the way they did (and not letting him do outside projects) I would probably would have quit too( although that still doesn't excuse Jason from quitting the Ozzy tour though)

"He’s obviously going to Julliard or something like that
I hope I remembered how to do the quotes right... it's been so long since I posted!

I would think he would definitely need to be able to read music and do all the really formal aspects to be accepted at a school like Julliard. I remember when I was at Tennessee, I took a few lessons from the guitar professor just to get a bit better with my playing, and it totally stressed me out. I learned piano that way, and ended up rebelling and doing my own thing. The same happened when this guy tried to stear me away from ear playing. I always liked to play guitar from the ear and by heart, not from looking at a page of dots. I think a lot of rock musicians are self taught like that.

I wonder if Wolfy can read music? If not, would be interesting to see what college accepts him. I guess it's not all that hard to learn to read music. I knew how to read music well before I started playing guitar, but found playing by ear rather than by eye much more satisfying. Maybe he could major in counseling and help keep daddy and DLR happy together forever!

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want anyone else fronting Van Halen, but the truth is he sounds like shit these days. If you compare it to the old days he sounds like absolute shit.
