      Interesting point.

By the way, I take it Dave wasn't at the wedding.

All reports suggest that he wasn't.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Someone would have mentioned it by now for sure. Dave is probably doing something MUCH more entertaining then hanging out at a no-booze wedding. Fuck that!

          Dave`s fired

The fact that Dave was not at the wedding, says it all.

This fuels the rumours, that Dave has been repeatedly, fired/hired, since the tour finished!

I think Ed, decided to play a Van Hagar song at the ceromony, because he new it would be reported in the press, and it would taunt Dave!

I`m guessing Ed/Al will begin negotiations, with Hagar, in the near future!

They played Van Hagar because those are sappy love songs! I don't think "Hear About It Later" type songs would go over very well!

The actual Van Hagar studio track for "When Its Love" wasn't played --- just the music from it was performed by the Sonus Quartet.

Van Hagar played at the wedding. NOT GOOD."
                Apparently, they were cheap.

(Should've gone for "Open Arms" instead...)

So some quartet picks a sappy hagar song...
Not exactly the same thing as wolfie escorting his
Dad down the aisle while playing "Dreams" on a
                  Casio.....

If Sammy and Mike played there, then all you paranoid
dudes that worry that a Van Hagar RMBI might have
some substance, but this is nothing.. The quartet were
probably given many EVH tunes to chose from...
Even if Ed chose it, who cares ?? We all know its
his music regardless of who is singing !

Chickenfoot are charting, do you reckon Sammy and Mike
would leave this spurt of success to reform Van Hagar ???

                    No fucking way....

True. But it's just that...a spurt. My friend bought the cd & emailed me all the songs. I've made it through about 2/3 of them. Not horrible songs, but nothing that will ever stick in my brain. Pretty much just a collective yawn by the four of those guys.

Well, its obvious they picked a Van Hagar song to play 'cause Van HALEN have no love/wedding type of songs (unless they picked something like 'Sinner's Swing!" ).

That's right, Ed. "get get get get out and and push!"

I'm surprised Ed didn't have them playing that and Love Walks In as the guests arrived then When It's Love as Janie walked down the isle. Ed loves Journey

I don't know... I always felt Take Your Whiskey Home was a fine tribute to marriage... Damn near prophetic I might add.

Maybe Val was thinking of that song during the ceremony.
