Did ed and mikey talk at namm?

Anyone heard if there was any communication between these two since they were both there? I definitely thought there would have been some juicy press (real or fabricated, I don't give a shit) by now...

Yes, they came to their senses...
Mike and Ed had a little meeting where Ed invited him back into the band.

    Will that do?

Some footage of Mike here. Nothing about VH. Just jawing with some fans.

            None of Eddie yet.

Looks like Mike jammed with Ratt on some Hendrix. Still not used to seeing Carlos Cavazo up there.

Mike: So Ed, still trying to unload your hot rods?
Ed: Yeah, the new wife is cleaning house.
Mike: I bet you're glad she signed that pre-nup, eh?
Ed: Yeah...wait, what the hell is a pre-nup?

If Mike is so much of a bad (meaning not good) of a bass player like Ed & others have said, then why do bands ask him to to jam with them?!

Stephen Pearcy's voice really is shit. Bands ask Mike to jam because he will. I doubt if Ed and Mike were there at the same time. Even if they were they have their handlers who usher them in and out and I'm sure thay would know enough to make sure their paths don't cross.

Most who say Mike's not so great on bass know nothing of the instrument nor it's role in the musical landscape.

A guy who doesn't know his way around a bass don't get an invite to share the stage with the likes of EVH, Satriani, Billy Gibbons, Eric Clapton, BB King, etc... nuff said...

The ONLY "Mikey" I recall 'tis that one who liked Life cereal when I was a kid.

If you listen to the Van Halen songs specifically for the bass lines, you can hear that Michael Anthony is good. The reason he gets the "can't play" rap? People don't listen for the bass in VH. They listen to Eddie & Dave...and then maybe Alex. But not bass. So when they finally get a chance to hear the bass player solo what does he do? smack the guitar, make some loud noises, and drink Jack Daniels. So based off his bass solo, he can't play for a shit. Why his solo was never a kick ass groove I'll never know.

Listening to a few old boots Mike was jamming "Women & Children first" the beginning of "Dancing in the streets" and was rocking it!

The Oakland shows showed he could play & well!

You can clearly hear Mike jamming on this one.

1:54, 2:50 showed why Ed couldn't be touched!
2:10, 3: 04 showed why No one could touch Dave!
The whole video showed Al was a Beast!

The Mighty Van Halen I remember!!

PS.. Put the concerts out on DVD, with lost tracks & never before seen photos PLEASE!!
