It was stated, in a review of, one of Van Halen`s 2007/2008 shows, that Anthony paid the price, for failing to attend, or pass on condolences, to the late Mrs Van Halen, who died in 2005! Just, because Ed has not mentioned this in the media, does not mean, it was not the final nail, in Fat Mullet`s coffin! Just because, ED/Al did not go public, with this fact, does not mean they were not offended by it! It is a private matter!!!!

In some respects, it was a pretty sad way for the name Van Halen to be represented...but such a charade was somehow fitting within the context of the RnRHoF.

I mean, yes, VR's and the Cheddar Hot Sauce combo's performances were lame, but at that point and time in terms of Van Halen and where the band was at in a weird way it was exactly what was to be expected. After ten years of Hagar, an aborted Roth-reunion attempt, the Van Halen 3 implosion and nearly a decade of self-imposed exile, one almost took it for granted that the "band" (a case where there are as many ex-members as there are current - Wolfie doesn't count) wasn't gonna be able to pull their shit together, show up to the induction and turn in a good performance.

And why should they, anyway? Why waste it on the RnRHoF? Fuck that place.

the passing of Mom Van Halen, Dave was back in,

permanent attachment to Sammy and the funeral.
