Sniper, thats the perfect description of Al's style, tribal jungle tom work! and I agree that bonzo also had a touch of that in his tom playing.

Al is such a solid force on drums. One of the hardest hitters and the the way he mixes his beats up with power, random double bass trickery, and off time antics just blows me away. It never gets old. Nobody has yet to sound like big Al.
