Charlie Sheen is awesome! Likes VH, likes the slutty women, likes the internet porn, and likes the drink. Honorary member. Hell, moderator!

I wrote to Andrew at Melodicrock too and asked him if there weren't any more details other than that. He wrote me back and this is what he said:

Apparently the new album is going to be called "Futue Te Ipsum", which is Latin for "Fuck Off", and the first single is going to be called "Won't get foolin' fans again". The cover art shows the back of a Sammy Hagar with mop and a bucket looking up at a giant VH logo carved in stone, and you're lead to believe that he's wondering to herself "I'm gonna jerk off over this".

      Yeah...something like that, anyway.

        Yeah, really.

Considering, even if this rumor pans out to be true, an album is gonna be forthcoming in mid-2011, it will have taken them nearly 5 years since Roth signed on in the fall of 2006 to put out any new material.

For a band that worked best at a breakneck (no pun intended, Alexis) pace and hasn't demonstrated great results when given too much time to futz around, this doesn't sound promising. Then again, whatever. Doesn't much matter either way if they put out anything new or not...in fact, I'm kind of hoping they don't. Mostly because Ed is washed up and I think the chances of new material from these guys approaching the same standards as CVH once did just aren't there anymore, at least not if the biz is done in Ed's home studio with Ed at the production helm.

When VH broke up & hated Dave, it took 12 years to get 2 new songs. (1984-1996).

Since then they have tried to reunite & actually did reunite for a tour, and we have zero music to show for it in 14 years (1996-2010).

We got more new music from them when they were broken up. Weird.

              Two songs in 12 years.

I hear that I Love All Access will be pre-selling special seats in a center ring 15 years in advance for an extra $250. $350 if you want the officially licensed EVH Frankenstriped tickets.

OMG! A new word? Frankenstripe. Written by me on 7/5/2010 @ 3:45 a.m. Any usage following this posting must be licensed and approved by me (for a nominal fee of course).

Not sure why, but I just love this thread! LMAO.... VH made their millions on Tour '07/08... do you really think they give a crock whether they give us any nibbles at this point? The last thing I want to see is anymore EVH endorsements for cars, bars and guitars...

Well, regardless of all, if they release anything I'll gladly be downloading it illegally. On top of that, I absolutely will NOT purchase any merchandise nor will I attend any half-assed version of a "Van Halen" concert with people performing the music who do not belong there.

So Ed, Dave, Al, and Shithead Jr. can release anything they like. Or not. It's of absolutely no concern to me either way.

I'll download it to check it out, and then i'll buy it if it's any good. Especially if it bombs! Good collectors shit.
Reading Crazy From the Heat in four hours flat, in a cramped RV, on the return trip of a 3,000+ mile family outing to New Jersey is an enlightening experience you'll never forget.
