"FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKIN' BITCH! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ANYWAYS? TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? FUCK YOU. DRAG QUEEN LOOKIN' WHORE- YOU AINT SHIT. YOUR THE FRECKLE TO THE LEFT OF MY BROWN EYE. NOW GO MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL...OH, PUT DAD ON THE PHONE" -
I'd really love to hear "Drop Dead Legs" on the next tour. The fact that Eddie brought that one out for soundchecks during the Velveetapalooza 2004 tour (when Cheddar Man wasn't around) seems to indicate he still has some interest in playing the song - which never got an official live performance, to my knowledge.
Only problem is that the harmonies of one Michael Sobolewski are featured rather prominently in that song. How do they pull it off without him?
Well, the Atomic Punks did alright with it.......

They need to do a shit load of new songs..period..or its just another reunion tour..I remember "follow us to the future. not the pasture"
It would be sweet if the older songs were CHANGED NIGHTLY...and record every show...ala Pearl Jam...put out a DVD.Comment

Seriously.
In truth, I can't really say I'm all that interested in any new music from the band anymore. The interviews Ed's given in the last decade, taken as a whole, betray an attitude of being content to rest on his past glories. Truth be told, methinks even as early as the mid 1980s Ed had so many accolades about his playing (deservedly so) heaped upon him to the point where all that success dulled his drive. The man just doesn't have the fire and desire.
I'd agree that any new tour, Anthony or not, should at the very least mix up the setlist a bit from the last tour. The sad reality is that the proposition of a Van Halen tour these days, much like any movement from the band, is no longer a guarantee to be as pleasing as it was by default back in their heyday (1978-1984). A hundred bucks a pop the last time around to see an aging, drunken former guitar hero playing under par was a bit saddening for me to witness, and not something that endears me to get all that psyched up when a wave of internet rumors start making their way around this site. This band has perhaps reached the point where the performance isn't living up to the hype.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

I thought Eddie played well the show I saw (Greensboro)..Dave vocals were above par..Agree they will never measure up to their heyday...
But I think they are capable of putting out a cd worthy of listening to without skipping a tune.
As far as a tour..definately lower the ticket prices..honestly..dont give a shit if MA is on board..but if he wants to show up and play a bit..no problem.Comment

There's a lot of acts touring whole albums - classic albums. I'd prefer to see that than the usual 'greatest hits' kind of deal. Play WACF and FAIR WARNING top to bottom, then some kind of break and then the new album - if they have one. Might clock in at 100-110 mins.
No solos - not even Eruption. He's played that to death and it'll never have the explosive quality of the recorded version, and playing it again can only show how much his powers have waned. I only ever want to hear it again as cut two on VAN HALEN.THINK LIKE THE WAVESComment

I only put 3 "new" songs in my preferred set list because rarely does any band have more than 3 good songs on a new album at this stage of the game. I could be wrong, but I am not anticipating the second coming of Fair Warning here.“Why do people say "grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive. If you wanna be tough, grow a vagina. It's nice that we can even talk about a new setlist, as far as I'm concerned...
But let's critique, shall we ??
- Eruption to START the show ? That dog ain't huntin'..... IMHO, they need to get Unchained back to the top of the show....
- You'll never see On Fire in concert again. Dave simply doesn't have the pipes for that anymore....
Other than that, like the others have said, it's way too long... UNLESS they put an intermission in there, like Rush has done recently..... Then you might see a longer setlist....
