Here's what I think their setlist should be (assuming 22 songs, unordered, I'm just picking album by album). Not all the songs I want to hear but I think it's a good balance of popular songs and a few deeper cuts with several new songs.

    1. RWTD
    2. You Really Got Me
    3. Ain't Talkin' Bout Love
    4. I'm The One
    5. Ice Cream Man
    6. DTNA
    7. SGMAD
    8. Beautiful Girls
    9. EWS
    10. Romeo Delight
    11. In a Simple Rhyme (yeah right)
    12. Unchained
    13. So This Is Love?
    14. Heat About It Later (yeah right)
    15. The Full Bug
    16. Jump
    17. Panama
    18. Hot For Teacher
    19. New Song
    20. New Song
    21. New Song
    22. New Song
I've got the cure you're thinkin' of.

They've gotta do Drop Dead Legs, man. It swings like fuck, and the vox will be no prob for Dave's more mature, deeper, voice.

I'd lke to see them introduce a different approach to pacing the shows. Drop the solos, I reckon (or the band can do an extended version of Girl Gone Bad if they want to flex some instrumental muscle), and have a 2-3 song acoustic interlude, with the likes of Could This Be Magic, Sounds of Summertime, and a couple of others they might be able to work up. Segue back into full volume with Take Your Whisky Home ...

Hey, I like Jump, but they could get that Abba chick to guest on a special live version of the (ahem) classic mashup, just to shake it up!

They dragged out "Drop Dead Legs" on the Velveetapalooza 2004 soundchecks when the Chedmaster wasn't around, so I know Ed & Al remember how to play it. It's never actually been played at a show though, and if they only played ONE song from 1984, I'd definitely pick it over the synth-pop songs, Panama, or even Hot For Teacher.

I wouldn't mind seeing I'll Wait (have never been thrilled with that tune, and the audience reaction to it was almost subdued the last time around), And The Cradle Will Rock, Pretty Woman and You Really Got Me dropped from the setlist.

Realistically, the band will play Jump. It was the highest charting single of the band's entire history. That being said, I wouldn't be bummed if they didn't play it.

Any of the following would be pretty fucking sweet:
            Drop Dead Legs
            Girl Gone Bad
            Hang 'Em High
            Secrets
            Dirty Movies
            Sinner's Swing
            Hear About It Later
            Push Comes To Shove
            Scramby eggs and bacon.

I'd actually like to see them rotate the setlist quite a bit: throw in 1 or 2 unexpected deep cuts every night. In this day and age you know what the setlist will be before the lights go down. A few surprises would be gret.

Personally, I'd love to see 'Fools'.

That WOULD be a fucking killer tune to hear...it'd be funny to see all the casual fans scratching their heads when the band started to play it: "is this a new song? huh?!?"

Good list Terry. I'd throw House of Pain on there as well. Not so taxing on the pipes and the VH family could jam the shit out of the ending while Dave shim shams all over the place.

The butt of Dave's 1981 onstage rap, Elvis Costello, has a good idea for mixing up his set - a giant wheel onstage with about 30-40 songs written on it.

Members of the audience come onstage during a Request segment, spin the wheel, and wherever it lands, that's the next song. Girls in hot pants dancing in cages, too ...
