Seriously, Van Hagar was so NOTHING to rock and roll, it doesn't register in my head that the Van Hagar albums and songs even existed. It's like remembering The Firm songs or Wings songs.

If you're gonna do a money-grab tour, at least do it with the real band.

I say this with all sincerity, the 1998 Gayry tour was better than this shit.

Someone gave me 5150 on cassette. I threw it on the stereo at this
big Headbangers party we were having.. Farken hell, big mistake, if
you can imagine a party full of Death, Speed and Black Metal fans reacting to Hagar singing Dreams.. Well you get the picture. I think that was the only time I ever played that cassette.

The only other Hagar Ive had the misfortune of hearing on the radio
never stirred up the feeling in me that I was actually listening to Van

A couple friends of mine at that time were diehard VH lifers like me, and picked up 5150. I NEVER bought that shit myself though, being a hard core Dave fan. Had the album been decent I certainly would have remained a VH fan, as well as followed Dave's solo career. I always thought Sammy Hagar was a talentless hack, and that was confirmed when that atrocity came out. Oh and what's this? Ed Van Halen's lost his balls?! Wow talk about a QUICK fall from grace.
