not that i believe it...but i had Boneyard on Sirius as i drove around tonight. Keith Roth stated they were 3/4 of the way through mixing and there could be a single as early as next week. i was trying to figure out where he could have read that...

It's kind of to the point where I think these various radio announcements and internet 'inside scoops' are just making shit up, pure and simple.

With Van Halen, these days the only way to know for sure what the band is up to is after it's actually done.

When new music is actually released, THEN we'll know the band have been working on it.

I mean, they've been 'in the studio' working on this hypothetical new album for how long now? And nothing is for certain far as Van Halen goes. Been that way for a long, long time.

And it's all moot if we don't get to hear it.

Morgan from the band Sevendust (who are all huge VH fans) has heard at least some of the unreleased Van Halen album and said, “It’s fucking killer. Eddie hasn’t sounded this good since Balance. Dave’s voice sounds great. Alex is absolutely bombastic.”

The guy from Creed heard a live jam from the folks with the same last name only, but this Morgan character heard completed music with Dave. Or so he says.
