Bring Hagar and Anthony back into the group, let 'em hit the road and for all those who want to see it I hope they'd have a good night out. In the meantime, life goes on.
That already happened in 2004 and the negative reviews outweighed the positive ones by a factor of 10-to-1. For any Ched Heads out there who want to blame Ed Van Heineken for that disaster, please watch any YouTube video from that tour and you'll see a fat douche in Ronald McDonald pajamas and do rag, and most of the time he's screeching half-ass and signing autographs in the front row. I think everyone who attended those shows should file a class action lawsuit for FRAUD because it was a liquor salesman onstage pretending to be a musical artist.

The thing that irks me the most about the Red Rocked Cunt Nugget is his blind arrogance. Whether he's bragging in his book about "being as huge as Van Halen in 1984" or flaunting his tequila money only because he stole Jimmy Buffett's persona, the asshole is living in a neverending shitstorm of delusions. He even made the late night talk shows for his book tour and said "Van Halen fired me in 1996 and they haven't done anything since". Oh really? What about the two songs with Roth that pushed BOV1 into platinum status? What about Van Cherone? How convenient not to mention Van Halen's highest-grossing tour ever in 2007-08 with Dave.

Hagar seems to think the world revolves around him, but it's just the flies buzzing around his putrid stench of burrito sauce and vinegar douche rinse.

Ed was clearly on whatever during the 04 tour and it showed in his playing. there were enough shows on the "reunion" tour where he was wasted too. I like cvh better but hagars voice has held up better. Daves vocals have always been a product of the studio, live he is hit and miss. The whole "I forgot the words" schtick was probably him taking a break from trying to hit all the notes and his kicky, twirly stick, giant microphone humping diversions served him well. If his vocals are the reason the new music isn't out yet, don't expect much from him on the subsequent tour. Unless he busts out a pogo stick or learns to juggle.

Maybe you could teach him your trick of riding down a bumpy road on a bicycle with no seat.

It doesn't surprise me at all that you ended up here. I'll bet they ran you off the Bon Jovi board for creeping everyone out with your 'nutsack sandwich' fantasy of Jon and Richie.
And you hung out at Hagars board for as long as you could, but seeing as how nobody's been there in seven fuckin' years, it didn't exactly fulfill your attention-whoring needs.
So the lack of options brings you here, a place that has actual traffic, and people to annoy with your Dave-bashing, cock-obsessed spamming bullshit. Your whole act got old years ago....now it's just fucking sad and beyond desperate. I'm not sure whether people should give you attention, or a bowl of soup and some change.

          You're pathetic

DHF = What a fucking LOSER!!!

Hambone, Ive never seen a post of yours that didn't have some homoerotic undertone to it, you are clearly a Davefan, that's fine but it's a bit unhealthy to get so pissed if anyone writes something negative about him. You want to worship him and be protective or territorial, that's fine too. Personally I couldn't care less if Roth is gay, why do you? I just don't think his vocals are what they once were, he is an entertaining frontman but trying too hard, at least on the "reunion", but he isn't on any list of great singers.

You sound as delusional as the Red Rocked Pussy Fart. Ed deserves half the blame for that 2004 clusterfuck, but the retarded liquor salesman takes the blame for the other 50%. Show me even one snippet from that tour where he's singing with any effort at all. I dare ya. If you want to hear the current state of Sam's voice --- just YT the national anthem from the SF Giants game this year. Makes your skin crawl.

Besides, you appear to be just another clueless Sammy drone who thinks Van Halen is all about perfect pitch. If that's the case, they should just hire some faggoty American Idol winner with no personality. Classic Halen was all about whiskey-soaked baritone, piercing banshee screams from Hell, and loads of SWAGGER. But since you're all about a fat Clay Aiken with poodle hair crooning about love and aliens, then you will never understand what CVH stood for.

Whiskey soaked voice, banshee screams from hell, who talks like that? What magazine did you read that in? Swagger is what you think is more important than sound? Anymore that swagger is coming from a man who was out of his element for too long and looks a bit lost up there. Go ahead, Check out some YTs from the 84 tour, compare them to the "reunion" tour YTs. If his voice is that bad, sounds like it is, that swagger is going to make up for it? Hopefully he retires those no longer roundhouse roundhouse kicks, they were looking weak on that fateful July 4 debacle, but did you see that crowd? Another Dave fanboi professing his love.

You are more than entitled to your criticisms of Roth now that he has reached an advanced age, as some of them more than hold their own weight with validity. The fact is, we all lose some zip on our fast ball sometime in our 40s (if not in our 30s), even if we are not readily willing to admit it. So what? The fact is, this site is devoted to one David Lee Roth. Now if that means worshiping a guy for his past exploits while allowing for the passage of time today, how is that wrong? To accuse people of "fanboism" at a site that is primarily dedicated to that exact pursuit is pretty much missing the point, wouldn't you say?

This 'fanboy' insult doesn't really mean jack shit, especially when it's coming from some asscunt charity case.

Do you honestly think anyone here gives a flying fuck about what a Sambot thinks? The fact that you have no other place than a David Lee Roth site to spew your moronic bullshit is a victory in itself, but you're too fucking stupid to realize that.

I really don't know (or care) what you've tricked yourself into believing, but being a troll is NOT a life accomplishment, it is a mental disorder, a disease. When you think about all the time you've wasted talking shit here, when you could've been doing something worthwhile somewhere else, I bet it really pisses you off. If it doesn't, it should, because you've spent an enormous amount of your time as a failed critic at a site where nobody gives a damn about you, and even less of a damn of what the fuck you think...about anything!!

Nobody invited you, and nobody cares, so kick rocks, you fucking troll!!!

Yes I would have to say. And you know what? I agree with this well written post. I may have just been trying to shake things up a bit at first, but it was unnecessary and it got out of hand until I consistently came across like an asshole. Fairly pathetic if I say so myself. So, I sincerely apologize for pissing anyone off. From much of what I have read on here there is quite a family vibe, now I feel like a distant cousin at a reunion trying to fuck up a good time for no good reason. So I think I'll go. Carry on, I'm really very sorry.

                                Geezus, Bleater's still here?

                                Anyway, back on topic.....

The first 4 Van HALEN albums were pretty much perfect. The last 2 weren't bad either, despite too many covers on one, and too many keyboards on the other.

But if God Almighty shouted down from the Heavens that I could own one and only one Van HALEN album, I guess it would have to be Fair Warning.

Literally the first album VH wrote from scratch - the music from Mean Street was taken from two older songs, but everything else was completely new. This is why it was a different direction from the first 3 albums. It was literally VH of 1981 as opposed to VH written in 1973 and recorded in 1980, as much of WACF was.
