Has Mutt done anything since he divorced Shania? It seemed like the only thing he was doing before then was her records, for a while. And considering what happened to both Foreigner and Def Leppard under Mutt's "supervision", he might not be the best example.

Sure he's got some solid albums to his credit. Highway to Hell. Back In Black. High and Dry. Pyromania was even tolerable, I guess. But after that, he really seemed to embrace the cheese factor.

He did a Nickelback album and the latest Maroon 5 release, but outside of a couple one-off tracks, he hasn't done much of anything since 2008.

Dude...you just described Van Halen perfectly. Had a string of great albums...then embraced cheese. We respect Van Halen for their original string of albums & have hope they can recapture that. I think with the strength of the greats he has done, I'd give Mutt the reins. Just those 4 albums you list are in the top albums of all time. And two of them are top 5. (not gonna argue which 2)

Now Melodicrock seem to be suggesting that when the VHND reported that VH would be working with John Shanks AND recording in January it was only rumour until confirmed by Melodicrock. No news here.

Yes, that's exactly what I said earlier. The only way that this could be news would be if melodicrock would care to explain how he confirmed things, instead of merely "decreeing" it as legitimate and inserting himself into the story.
