Maybe he was there to supervise the remastering of 'Up for Breakfast' for the new 'Worst of all worlds' compilation album.

Or mistook the building for a Burger King, and merely wanted to use the restroom. Not to mention that one of the images (the one without any reference of Edward Van Halen, or anyone else for that matter) looks strangely similar to the waiting room of a mental health clinic, not that I have personal experience and would know what one looked like.

I think Dave is a hired gun anymore. Just like in Motley Crue (per Vince's book), where Vince relates how he signs a contract for each tour and album/new music that comes out under the old banner. It is a business agreement, nothing more, in fact Vince doesn't care for his bandmates anymore. Not a far stretch to assume the same in VH. To think that they just had Dave come back in and it was old times again is a bit ludicrous. When the time is right, Dave will be allowed to come out and do his thing, and it will more than likely be scripted and approved by the brothers. The vibe they show on stage will be as much a performance as the music. This is why I don't hold much faith in any new music comparing to the early days, this is a corporate machine, not a band, and sadly Dave is an at will employee.

Dave is probably just being smart and keeping it shtum,This is not the 80's and sadly he dont got the drawing power he use to have (no shot at dave by the by).

Understood it isn't a shot at Dave, just a sad truism. I don't think those of us who did see them back in the day are as amped as those who never saw them then. I'll still be there, and will probably head for my car as soon as the first chords of Jump begin. That song signifies the end in more ways than one.
