Thanks man. I will say one thing, the sound in that studio was really good, because hey it was a recording studio. I think almost anywhere I would have stood would have gotten good audio, so not sure how much that played a part in the whole thing. But either way it takes incredible video. Obviously in a big arena I think the sound is gonna suffer a bit.

    Yeah, what she said!

I'd like to see him looking like he did in that video posted here around New Year's.

I was 4 people back from the stage between DLR and EVH...never have seen them that close (7th row in pretty much the same spot in '84, but this was waaaaay more intimate). Thanks again to SARGE, VA, DDE and everyone who made this possible. I'm still awestruck. Complimented Ross Hogarth on the production, Dave's sisters are awesome, too. I'm glad I asked BAntonelli to come with instead of one of the girls I work with or someone who wouldn't appreciate the signifigance of the thing the way she did, pretty sure she had a blast too!

There was nothing "rough" or "ragtag" about that event...WTF show was that reviewer at???

Just keep cherishing the memories of that night.

I was not told ahead of time what was going on - . Before I go further, I want to give an all out special THANK YOU to JHALE667!!! I was honored to be there and invited. The best "date" I have and will ever experience..LOL!! truly. A special thanks to VA Beach Fan and Sarge.
The CD release party for 'A Different Kind of Truth" took place at Henson Recording Studios (formerly A&M Records) and started out with a cocktail reception, complete with food trucks. JHale and I started on our first open bar cocktail as Valerie Bertinelli and her husband walked by. We continued to casually mingle and soon met up with Jeff Hausman and his wife and Brett and his wife.

We were all directed to enter a large studio with the coolest VH video displayed on all four walls within the room. Soon our guys came on stage, looking happy, healthy and ready to rumble. Dave is in top form physically as well as being the ultimate showman he is - utilizing the stage dancing as no one else can do. The new songs are ROCKIN. Even noticed one of the familiar faces of the celeb website "TMZ.com" rocking out in disbelief he was actually watching this legendary band. As the band played their last song, brazilian drummers and Las Vegas style show girls in feather ensembles came out to dance. Dave danced with them and they continued to dance on stage and continued the good par-tay vibe after the music stopped as they danced out near the bar area. I will be more specific if it isn't already detailed by JHALE, but towards the end of the night, both JHALE and I received the pleasure of meeting and shook hands with Dave's sisters, Lisa and Allison, introducing ourselves as reps of ROTH ARMY. Once we actually left the studios, we had more great conversations with Jeff Hausman and his wife and Brett and his wife. We all agreed that this CD is paramount and this tour is full of fresh vibes and you don't want to miss it.
Sounds like an awesome night! How cool was it to experience VH in such a small setting?
That's great that Dave's sisters come out to these shows. Allison started chatting with me briefly on my way out of Cafe Wha? last month.

Damn is Tattoo good live....after hearing the other songs on the album,I had thought it was going to be a "waste" of a live spot,as much as I liked it.

    I'm happily proven wrong,

    it KILLS!!! Fuck yeah!

Kudos to Brett for great videos - I love Dave's line "...What? Did I stutter?" (Everybody Wants Some). Nothing like reliving the DREAM night thru these videos and JHales Pics!!!!!!!

I felt alot of pride representing our ROTHARMY family. What Sarge built, staffed with the best mods, DDE recognizes and gives thanks. It was also great for Jay and I to meet and hang with VHND & VHLinks.... Jeff, Brett and their wives ROCK!! After the event, we held our own meeting of the minds outside Henson Studios with the neon glare of "Crazy Girls" (Dave's steady haunt) in the background. Yep, we were hanging on Dave's turf alright....

Again, my thanks and hugs to JHale, VA Beach Fan, Sarge, everyone at ROTHARMY and DDE - You ALL ROCK!!!
