First time for him....This is a special concert for me, a passing of the VH torch--well a sharing of the torch! I was about his age when I attended my first VH gig......New music that fucking nails it.....What could be better?

I just dont associate all the good folk here with Whiney Hagar types, especially when we were

It's a crystallized headset that is hooked up to the heavies in the pit. Dave is just cutting the middle man. It's all about picking up chicks. Get with it.

Well, it's never gonna be cool for me. I'll say it a million fucking times. This could be the last tour they ever do with DLR and I don't want to remember him this way.

Dave always used the mic stand well as a prop - he looked damn cool. This just looks lame.

And it ain't about a piece of equipment - granted, the headset probably has certain advantages (Dave doesn't miss the mic when he's preoccupied moving around) and disadvantages (the singer has no ability to use the mic to create dynamics - pulling the mic away, etc).

I'd say - I'd I'd guess I'm not alone - I'm fine with Dave missing the mic, forgetting the words, and all the rest - 'cos that, my friends, is Roth and Roll.

After looking and really listening to the video's from that rehearsal, the only thing i can say about the headset is that, technically, it definitely is less dynamic of a mic than a regular handheld one. I noticed a few times, where Dave had to cup his hands to express something vocally that he usually can do by moving a mic closer or further away from his mouth. I'm pretty indifferent about the whole thing, but if it's about bringing the best sounding vocals to the live show, i would think Dave is looking and hearing the same thing and go back to his standard mic. The other stuff he does onstage can be done with the handheld one, so i guess we will see.

I would like to be able to offer an opinion on how he sounds with the headset, but the clips i have seen there is some drunk out of tune asshole singing along.Makes it quite difficult to judge.

We got to see a half tracklist , maybe half effort at that
dress rehearsal /soundcheck.

Dave's too hyper not to have a mic !
