Now that you mention it......... I remember KISS opening with "Creatures..." during that tour, but during the "Lick It Up" and "Revenge" tours they opened with "Creatures..." as well, then for the "Animalize" and "Asylum" tours they opened with "Detriot Rock City". "Hot in the Shade" opened with "I Stole You Love" (A FAVE) and the "Crazy Nights" tour opened with "Love Gun".

Ok, but the element of surprise would be pretty cool. K and the G finishes. House lights go up for a half hour or so. Lights go out and a single spot light illuminates Ed and Wolf tearing through a hammer on frenzy then boom! The first ten rows, everyone looks like a mannequin because their faces have been melted off. I'll take it.

A new song to open the concert ?

Not even a band like Van Halen would do that... The closest they've come is when they played "Hot For Teacher" as the 2nd song in 1984....

And HFT was a pretty major hit for them, especially as a video.....

But the first song is not the time to give the fans a new song, it just isn't....

On Iron Maiden's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son tour they opened with Moonchild, and that song is a great opener. Bands do pull off such a thing.......I guess Maiden was the Biggest metal band in the world at the time and even in the US..........
