In the digital age... what purpose does releasing a single actually accomplish?

Is it just a free tune to radio stations and that's it?

See, Zah, what a "single" does, is it exposes people to a new track on the album because the record company puts its weight behind it. When people hear a "single," and they like it, they may go out and buy the album that they normally may not have bought.

First of all, "she's the woman" is kinda stupid and quite redundant...

Secondly, hearing a 57 year old say "her thunder thong around your neck" is just a bit creepy...

Thirdly, it's just one of the weaker songs...and IMHO it will go over like a lead balloon...

Blood and Fire feels forced and to me is one of the few skip-over tracks on the album. I love You and Your Blues, but it may sound too Van Hagarry on the guitar.

I think She's the Woman is the perfect choice! Short, fast, good hook, great riff.

I like the Trouble with Never. Oh hell I like them all. If I had one to pick as my least favorite it would be Bullet Head.

Bullethead has grown on me. Of those middle tracks, I like it the best (over China Town and B&F). B&F is probably my least favorite on there.
