He's the reason we can't go back and look at the thread where Panamark became Mr RothArmy or my comic strip or you dishing out abuse as 'Big Pussy' and I can't forgive that...

Plus how much did it cost us in hosting fees for DDLR until this place could be brought back?

Oh no, that lame shit parody. Perhaps Malmsteen needs some songwriting lessons here and there but don't make fun of his playing.

He's just so fucking arogant. That's what is funny about that parody.

        No doubt he can play.

Even if that was true, then "Big Trouble" is clearly in the other 20%. That's still a badass tune, and the solo is a fuckin' masterpiece!

Well then. The maker of this parody should have let the original guitar parts as they are and just change the comments.

Has this guy seen himself? It just hammers home how singular DLR is. That was like seeing a grown man at a comic convention in a Wolverine costume. The yellow one.

That seemed more disrespectful than a pure comedy act mocking 80's Dave.

The band was good, but the singers voice didnt resemble Dave's at all. That's even fine, but does tribute haveta be "what we think is a spot-on impersonation of the band"? Just playing the music would be fine with me.

I'm pretty sure that was the Best Solo in Guitar World's reader's Poll in '87 IGNOBLE Awrds or somesuch.

I know you dig him E. And I thinkhe is a fucking wizard on the guitar. He just isn't a guy that can write a song that will chart top #40 or appeal to mainstream fans. It kinda sucks cause if he did like 1-2 hit-worthy tunes for every record, a lot more people would be exposed to just how good he is.

I miss when Saenz was in Atomic Punks. Dude was absolutely uncanny...That's why I like Steel Panther, he still reps his DLR roots.

Ygor Fatsteen never wrote any hit songs. He did co-write some radio friendlier stuff when he had Joe Lynn Turner as his hired vocal slave.

But he is incapable of writing something like that on his own.

I would say Vai is much less the one-trick-pony that Ygor is, but he still bores me to death.

I've seen a couple of different VH tribute bands here on Long Island. Started several years ago - didn't mind them at all. Figured it was a night out drinking, dancing, and singing to my favorite music. The band we used to see was called Completely Unchained. The "Dave" had long blond hair, but other than that, he didn't try to be Dave. He actually had nipple rings, which bothered me a bit, but the music was good. Until they made a bad mistake....I planned my 40th birthday around going to see them with a bunch of friends and family after drinking and partying all day in Port Jeff. We had seen them a couple of times before and had fun. That night, about halfway through the set, the singer said the bass player wanted to sing one song. He sang a Spammy song..don't remember which one. I lost it! This was my birthday bash, and I had been drinking all day. I was screaming obscenities and giving the guy the finger til one of my friends escorted me off to the bar. Killed my night - couldn't recover. I was so pissed cause they advertise themselves as a classic VH tribute band. Then we tried a different one in the area called Bottoms Up. They were just embarrassing. They all wore wigs - bad ones. The lead singer was fat, but didn't seem to know it, so he kept doing Dave moves - just wrong! Never saw them again. Considering returning to the original one we saw, since I heard they've added some new ADKOT tracks. For me it's a fun night (as long as they stay away from Van Hagar) and it's alot cheapter than seeing the real thing. I just don't try to pretend I'm seeing Dave, and I can have fun with it.
                        Stay Frosty!

THE DAY IS DONZO LET'S HAVE SOME FUNZO!!

I've seen Completely Unchained also....they play all over the Island.....not bad at all. I didn't have the misfortune of seeing them play a Spamburgler tune thank God. The funny thing is, last time I saw them they were playing at Nappertandy's in Miller Place. The bartender was bullshitting with my brother and I, telling us how the lead singer was at the bar 3 hours early limbering up and practicing his Roth kicks....lmao.....I thought that was pretty damn funny....hey, at least the guy is dedicated. Musically, their not bad though....it's a good night out. Could be worse, you could show up to a local bar and find my band playing covers all night!!!!

The lead singer, Eugene, friended me on Facebook a while back I guess because of all my VH posts...lol...I've been looking for the opportunity to finally check them out...

That is ridiculous behaviour which I fully support.

                                Outstanding! :D
