Amen to that. Seen way too many family and friends lose that battle. In EVH's case, he's got the cash and plenty of world-renowned docs on his side to help him beat it. Let's hope he puts it in remission for good - hate to see him finally find peace and happiness in his life just to have it yanked away by cancer...

I wouldn't worry about that. I'm pretty sure he has a stock pile of keyboard/piano type of ballad music just sitting there. It doesn't mean that Spambo will be coming back anytime ever. From what i have gathered, Dave and Ed were never not close and they still have differing opinions on certain aspects of how songs should be arranged and what not, but like Ed said, this time out, everyone is close like a family which is different than how it was in 07/08.

I like how Wolf was all geeked up to record a double album......I'm sure he grew up loving all that vintage old school demo stuff.....the same stuff we were living off of for 28 years untill ADKOT arrived. That kid gets it. No way Interscope is releasing a double album as their first Van Halen release unfortunately. This interview really gave me hope for the future of this band. Unfortunately, Eddie's cancer makes me feel like we should enjoy the hell out of the moment. Nobody knows for sure what Ed's future may be.

            Exactly.

Sickens me to read comments on YouTube ---- some supposed "fans" are passing on this tour because they dont like how Dave sings a particular song.

This may be the LAST Van Halen tour ever. Get out and see them and appreciate the moment. Life only happens once.

Can you imagine some retarded cumstain saying in 1979 ---- "I'm passing on this Led Zep tour. No worries, there will be more in the future".

I finally got around to reading the interview and all I can say is "WOW!" Ed sounds like a real down to Earth guy, who has finally found some peace in his life. I applaud Wolf for understanding what Van Halen means to us fans, and helping to bring to fruition everything that everyone has been hoping for, for the last 20+ years. I found myself laughing, crying and worrying throughout the read. I really hope they add a NW leg to this tour, because I sure don't want to miss an opportunity to see the Mighty Van Halen play, and if Wolf is picking the set list, I'd say my hopes of getting to see LUTS may just happen! Sounds like he's pulling shit out that the fans want to hear, and I know I'm not the only one who wants that one.

The pic of EVH shaking his fist at the camera should have been on the cover of the mag instead of jr.

                    LMAO!

I skipped the Balance tour thinking thinking there would be another in a couple years. :/

We saw the bandages & the wax soak machine he used for it before shows. Perhaps the painful thumb was his reasoning for taking a hit off the bottle...then 2....then 4....then, well you know how it goes. It's easy to talk someone into doing what you want them to do when that someone is yourself.
