Raw Power Magazine
Raw Power magazine from the late 70's.
Click the magazine cover's for the PDF files.
The issue with Iggy Pop on the cover has a short interview with DLR from 1977, and a couple old live club days pictures.
Raw Power Magazine was founded by two 16-year-old teens in Woodland Hills CA; Scott Stephens (Quick Draw) & Robert Olshever (Bobalouie) in 1976. Murray Schwartz and Joey Wahl joined up shortly thereafter. What started out as a fanzine covering LA talent turned into a glossy magazine with features on national rock acts.Comment

Loved his answer to "have you been in other bands before this one?"
A little voice inside his head must have whispered "let the non sequiturs begin!"Comment

"Gonna ride the wave right up to the street". Classic!sigpic" You ever notice when I scream I sound like Mr. Bill on acid" DLRComment

I used to have this flyer. Bought it for a couple of bucks at a flea market in San Francisco back in '92. Some deadhead running off copies of flyers from famous bands and selling them for pot money. I include this flyer with the rest of my cherished CVH memorabilia that vanished into the ether somewhere along the way...My karma just ran over your dogma.Comment

Thanks BF for the link !!!
I love Dave's words "Van Halen is here, and you're just gonna have to start saving-up your allowance for the record"
Just what I did, back in 1978, (times of the "Dirty War" here), to pay a lot of money for importing that record from USA, I skipped meals, walked a lot saving on bus tickets, and suffered a dangerous incident with the police that I'm glad I can laugh now.
I had to save the money again in 1979, 1980....hahaha, nice and expensive memoriesComment
