That would've been something, huh? There was just this extra big boom to that kit. You could tell Al was probably like, "oh please please please make me sound like Bonzo!!!" when they hooked up with him. I remember reading how they ran all sorts of cables down to speakers in a different room that had more atmosphere than right where the kit was and they mic'd those results. Some'n like at.Comment

I mostly agree, but I'd love to hear more umph in songs like 'Everybody Wants Some' for example.. The snare is a little thin, IMO. That is until you crank it. True, but after re-watching the above clip, I don't think I'd ever want to hear Everybody Wants Some with lush layers of Poundcakey 12 strings. Too much tinkerin!! Ed's Fair Warning recorded sound was great. Andy's drum sound on that CD would've pushed it from a 10 to an 11 f'sho.Comment

Agreed. I'm only talking drum tone here..
