I'm afraid Ed's locked himeself away these past few years and seriously taken up learning the in's and out's of a new instrument........the Skin Flute. There are hours of recorded sessions of him playing different types and we'll probably see these tapes advertised on e-bay.

No actually I wouldn't say what I said about Ed in the same way as Dave. Dave has always had a creative meandering in his speaking style that would lead some to assume he's higher than a kite. But his is more of a consistent style/personna not necessarily one that appears to be a person deteriorating significantly due to substance abuse... but more like a cross between Groucho Marx and Robin Williams with a dash of WC Fields thrown in.

What a crying shame, as a guitarist I always had the greatest respect for Eddie....now he's down to a greatest hits live set and a fast diminishing liver. Hope we don't find ourselves with another potential rock and roll casualty to go along with Hendrix, Kossoff and Bolin.

It is so sad. Anyone who has delt with alcoholism on a personal level, or seen a relative struggle with it, knows the damage it causes. Its sad to see someone with so much talent put themselves and their love ones through such hell. Ed has to have a lot of demons running around inside his noodle to keep him abusing himself for so many years.
