These are real Sammy Hagar lyrics. This shit is so bad, it's actually good.

This is when Van Halen hit it's lowest point. If you want to see Van Halen hell. This is it.

I remember my Dad being so dissapointed when he came home from that concert back in 2004. He's the guy that made me a huge Van Halen fan so there really was no doubt that I wanted to go (even though I was only 11 years old at the time) It's almost heartbreaking to know that some people left the concert thinking Eddie would be dead before 2005 and that Van Halen was over because he took his shirt off and everybody was shocked to see how frail he was. Looking back, I really am shocked that they were able to finish that tour.

But you know what? The 2004 Summer Tour was a Sammy Hagar solo tour masquerading as Van Halen's comeback.

Just listened to the 90 second clip of LL's new tune, and now I can say with confidence that EVH has done something in the studio that is just as crappy as DLR's Jump remix.

You nailed it.. I caught them 5 or 6 times in 04, including the 'black Friday' tour finale, and I walked away thinking there was no doubt that 1-I will never see EVH & DLR together and 2- EVH was going to be dead really soon. Thankfully I was wrong on both counts.

After watching that clip I'm convinced that Sammy Hagar is the bastard love child of Richard Simmons and Bozo .

I thought Eddie was going to die. I really did. I saw that guy on stage so many different times. I couldn't believe that thing on stage was Eddie after years of seeing him up there bright eyed and bushy tailed. In the 80's, Ed always looked like he was having a blast up there. It blew me away the band fell apart because in 84 on stage, they seemed to be having a good time.

I have no idea what kind of shit Ed was on but it was bad. I speculate he started doing coke again and it was laced with meth. I'm not a drug user but I heard people say the coke then was inferior to the coke of the 70's and 80's. I always heard the good stuff had a black scorpion on the bundle in the day. The bottom line is you are buying the shit from people who cut people's heads off and enjoy it. I've seen videos of them doing it and it's some sick fucked up shit. Anyone doing that is going to cut their supply with something to make more money for themselves.

                            Compliments of Kody VH...

LL Cool J on Eddie Van Halen: “I Have Worked With One Of The Greatest Guitarists That Ever Lived”

                            Courtesy Of LL Cool J/Facebook
A few weeks back, hip-hop legend LL Cool J unexpectedly posted a photo to his Facebook page that showed him sitting in the control room of a studio… next to Eddie Van Halen. Van Halen hasn’t guested on too many albums in recent years, so this came as something of a shock.

Radio.com sat down LL, who talked about working with the guitar legend, who is one of many guests on his upcoming album, Authentic: ”Working with Eddie was just amazing. I just really wanted to work with the best, work with people that I respect, people that I look up to, people that impress me, people that I believe are truly super talented… and even more talented than myself. I feel like Eddie falls in that category. Now Eddie Van Halen has officially done a hip-hop record. And I have officially worked with one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived.”

The song is called “We’re The Greatest,” but the famously un-humble MC was quick to point out that the lyrics may not (necessarily) be self-referential. “It’s speaking about all of us. It’s not necessarily about me and Eddie per se. It’s about people that kinda get tossed aside, forgotten about, kicked down, and then they make a comeback in life and they regain that ground that they had lost, and then some. So that’s why it opens up like (he raps the lyrics) ‘Knock knock, who’s there, the one, remember me? I’m looking kinda different these days. Don’t you agree? You’re boy’s doing it big this year. Didn’t you see? The hell with the Devil, there’s no sympathy.’ I think it’s a cool song. It’s LL and Eddie Van Halen together. I am in no way trying to put myself on the level of Van Halen or say that… I don’t want Van Halen fans to get the wrong impression like I don’t respect their legacy or who they are. I do. I just wanted to do something with Eddie that I think is cool. And, I think we accomplished something great. I hope they dig it.”

Authentic comes out April 30, and also features guest contributions from other great guitarists, including Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine and country picker/singer Brad Paisley. To read more about those songs, go to Radio.com.

                            – Brian Ives and Scott Sterling, Radio.com.
