Sorry... I just can't bring myself to communicate or thank Ed's dog for anything!! Nor what's supposed to be a mature adult pretending to be the family pet on fucking FaceBook... sick shit...

Hey, you could always just thank me for forwarding you the lil' poop machine's message so you don't have to come in direct contact with him.

I liked LL's respect for the VH fans remark. Don't much care for what I've heard so far, but I'll wish'em well. After all, he's my wife's fave.

In the shows you caught how was Ed's playing? He looked like shit on that tour and based on what i've seen and heard, his playing ranged from so-so to embarrassing, so i'm curious to hear from somebody who caught him multiple times on that tour.

I saw them on the 3rd or 4th night of that tour in Philly. I was sober and 2nd row center. Ed tore it up pretty damn good in my opinion. He threw the Flyers shirt he wore for the encore right to me. He was definitely drinking, but not wasted though. Big bottle of wine sat on the drum riser most of the time.

Yeah, he was sporting the open toed combat boots wrapped in duct tape. What a nut bar.

I was very underwhelmed for the most part. I could appreciate the drunkenness, but it wasn't the EVH that I wanted to see. His solo spot was pretty much cringe-worthy every time. He abused the shit out of that sustainer.

I went. Finally got floor seats after years of nose bleeds to see the king up close. I started watching Al after 4 songs ! Ed was all over the place. I thought he looked good. Buff I guess would be the word. But he looked out of it sometimes. His hair a mess. I thought he was done. So last year seeing him up close again was a real treat. He kicked ass. Sounded good here in 07 also. But that was early in the tour before the next meltdown.

Eddie Van Halen Explains Why He Went Hip-Hop

                      04/02/2013
                      .
Eddie Van Halen surprised fans when he revealed that he had collaborated with LL Cool J on two tracks on the veteran rapper's new album, Authentic, which will be released on April 30th.
Now the legendary rock guitarist has spoken out about the collaboration and what inspired him to team up with LL Cool J. His camp says that Eddie didn't know what to think of the invitation at first but once he met LL the two hit it off instantly and he agreed to do it.

"The thought of me playing guitar to hip hop was definitely left of center, but I was intrigued and I agreed to meet and listen to what he had," says Eddie. "I was not only inspired by the songs I heard, but LL's enthusiasm, his down to earth personality, the freedom he gave me to co-create and his willingness to, for the very first time, sing the chorus on 'We're The Greatest'. It was like a breath of fresh air that I needed as an artist and an individual."

Eddie adds, "the diversity of the songs on this album and the other artists he has collaborated with is outstanding, appealing to multiple genres of music and maybe even creating a few of our own. I feel blessed to not only have had the opportunity to work with LL but also to call him a great friend."

LL Cool J explained why he picked Van Halen to collaborate with, "This Album was born out of my true love for music and I knew Eddie shared that same vision for authentic music. I approached this song with the upmost respect for Eddie and his fans, and became friends with him through the process. I was humbled to watch a genius at work and collaborate with such a legendary and visionary artist as Eddie Van Halen, and to bring our two worlds together, was an exciting opportunity. I am thrilled he was up for the ride."

Ooops...be careful LL, and watch where you step. Ed's list of former "great friends" over the years reads like an obituary column at times. Just be thankful he didn't call you a soul-mate.
