Is other kind of case ......
    No sense at all ...
it has nothing to do with the Lennon/McCartney thing

There was a time when Eddie was my hero. I picked up the guitar because of that man.

Not to say i play it well - that was never my forte', but nonetheless, he was the man.

What the man could communicate through the electric guitar...was as innately intertwined with emotion as Churchill was to leadership.

Now...all that's left is a shell of that once inspiring human being.

How does one know this ...
it shines through in the vindictive jealousy needed to want to TOTALLY ERASE AND DENY the memory of the person who you CO-WROTE half of you life's legacy with.

When it's all said and done, no one will remember Roy Hagar save for "that Crystal Pepsi song"...that's it - a blip on the radar no bigger than "that band that does those Starbucks commericals with that Rocky song"

But through the murk of conflagration...through EVERY CONCERTED EFFORT ON BEHALF OF EDDIE AND ALEX VH over the past 20 YEARS:

-the ONLY VH ever played on classic rock radio is the Van Halen...with the loquacious Diamond Dave at the helm of the ship.

-songs like "Hot For Teacher, Jump, Panama, Runnin' With the Devil, Dance the Night Away, Unchained, Ain't Talkin' Bout love live in every sports arena in the land

-Every town accross America has one - if not more - tributes to the classic incarnation...each limited only by the ability of their frontman's martial arts tact and "charasma"

The birth of MTV itself...the comedy stylings at least - ignoring whatever bastardization has followed in our - WERE the videos Hot For Teacher, Jump, Panama, California Girls, and Just A Gigolo.

And all of this...while you were a large part of it...50% of a great team...to actively work to erase the memory of the other HALF of that powerful team - a man that has inspired more proverbial phoney sick days and dreams followed than you ever wish you could - DAVID LEE ROTH...that's sad man, just sad.

But alas...there is a silver lining. Against all odds, the legacy has not been bastardized by yourself and the Tequila saleman.

history is written. Ironically enough, what you once were and what that person once created was so damn positive and powerful, that it cannot be destroyed.

Maybe you'll wakeup and realize what you had some day. I'm not saying reunite with Dave - do whatever the hell you want. But stop deliberately pissing all over something that for a lot of folks is so positive.

        Till next time,
        Fuck off, Eddie van Halen

          1) On vocals we have Sammy Hagar, DLR. They couldn't even spell out his fucking name!

          2) All video samples are Sam tunes (they're so classic!)

          3) If you see the TV commercial, there is no mention of Roth and you don't see him singing anything. For a Sam song, you see Sam sing - for a Roth song, you see Mike and Ed sing.

          4) Sammy live versions of Dave songs?? WTF? I know Sam has a shit catalog with the band, but that is bullshit.

I'm sure the packaging does not let on that he was ever in the band, not that I'll ever see it.

          What a petty bitch!
David Lee Roth is listed LAST in the credits, despite doing a majority of the songwriting; no pictures of David Lee Roth, save the ones from the album covers. Yes, I would say that Edweird Van Halen has an ulcer named after David Lee Roth, and he sees Dave performing martial arts in his nightmares. Cheers, Ed! Enjoy the bed you've made!

Its the reason Val Split....She got tired of being woke out of a dead sleep by Ed's violent nightmares of the HELL he went through with DAVE. Multi-platinum recording after multi-platinum recording, SOLD OUT World tours, mass merchandising, public acclaim, and the admiration of MILLIONS of fans! She told him, "Edweird, get over the acclaim, the sold out tours, the musical CREDIBILITY, and the lamborginnis.....I NEED SOME FUCKING SLEEP YOU ASSHOLE!!!

No...Eddie likes to give his used toilet paper to fans after wandering into restaurants in Boston and pissing on THEM.

Eddie Van Halen has got his head so far up his ass at this point that his face is a freaking SHIT SWIFTER! I call up the philosopher Ren of Ren and Stimpy when I say...WAKE UP, MAN!

A not so wise man once said, "Fool me once - okay..fool me twice...well, you just don't fool me twice". You've already been fooled once...don't let the red and white striped wool be pulled over your eyes.

a FEW of them?! Try around 100 including bootlegs

http://www.cleveland.com/search/inde...4270.xml?empop ...He couldn't fathom why I mentioned Roth in the review.

"That [expletive] has nothing to do with what we're doing now," Eddie said. "If you knew Roth the way I do, you would go, 'This guy is out of his [expletive] mind!'

"Why did you even have to bring up Roth? He wasn't onstage."

True. But didn't Roth help popularize some of those songs and write the lyrics to them?

"Uh, a few of 'em," Eddie said. "But Roth and Hagar are two unique individuals. You can't say Hagar didn't sing it the way Roth did. Of course [Hagar] can't. He's not Roth."

You know that Roth is a frustrating issue for him.

But if he hadn't been such a tease in 1996 about it, and had given fans of the classic lineup what we wanted, then EVH probably wouldn't still be hounded with the Dave question.

The Van Halen's really brought this on themselves in the end. The half-measures they have taken don't suit the music classic Halen put out.

Guess baby steps are more in line for the Van Hagar philosophy.

Ed should be on his hands and knees EVERYDAY kissing Roth's ass for making VH what it WAS. Ed's such a paranoid dillusional that he MUST have nightmares about Dave. The way Dave made them famous, the way Dave was the ONLY guy in the band that women could stand to look at, the way Dave is one of the GREATEST rock frontmen of ALLTIME, the way Dave gave VH the look to rule MTV, the way DAVE wrote and arranged songs out of Ed's killer riffs-while discarding the bad riffs, the way DAVE gave that band of dimwits PERSONALITY, the way DAVE made them INTERESTING to watch/listen to... Man, we all get the point, I could sit here ALL DAY describing all the things Dave did for them to make them great, because left to their own ways, Ed, Al, and Mike don't know shit about greatness, and have just lumbered off into mediocrity. Even Ed's playing... just fucking Pathetic. You can't tell me shit about SAM while I'm sitting here litening to "I'm The One", GODDAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
