"If the American people had ever known the truth about what we (the BCE) have done to this nation, we would be chased down in the streets and lynched." - Poppy Bush, 1992

1) What would The Rolling Stones be without Mick Jagger?
2) What would Led Zeppelin be without Robert Plant?
3) What would Aerosmith be without Steven Tyler?
Bonus questions:
4) What is Queen now without Freddy Mercury?
5) What did Black Sabbath become after Ozzy?
6) Which do you prefer The Doors with Jim Morrison, or the 21st Century Doors with Ian Astbury?
7) What would The Who be without Roger Daltrey?
If you lied like a Hagarita on this test, then not only did you fail....

You are correct. All of those bands would suffer greatly if their front men left.
However, like AC/DC Van Halen continued to thrive in the late 80's and 90's with the addition of a new singer. Did they sell as many CDs...NO.
Did they have consecutive #1 CDs and sold out tours...YES.
The problem with Van Halen in 2004 isn't that they have Sammy and not Dave the problem is they've wasted too much precious time and no one cares about them. I hope next year Dave does tour with VH so we can see that even with Dave no one cares. Sure the 4,000 dorks who post here (me included) will go to the show but after that turn out will be the same because VH is no longer relevant.

The truth from the #1 dude,
General Hina
that's a credible post, however, dont forget that it's a fact, not an opinion, but a fact, that record execs, DJs and MOST VH FANS TODAY still prefer Roth era. And that's my point.
PLUS - Getting back to AC/DC - Bon Scott died, he didn't leave or be kicked out of the band. PLUS - Brian Johnson has nothing but the highest respect for Bon Scott, many times, even recently, playing more Bon Scott material than his own, and to this day, hasn't had ONE bad word about him BECAUSE HE KNOWS THAT IT WAS BON SCOTT THAT CHOSE HIM TO BE THE NEW SINGER.
AC/DC is not a good example to compare with Van Halen/Van Hagar.

I like your post.
I was going to use Survivor as my example but then I took my skirt off and decided AC/DC would be better.
