My VH moment on the radio

Leslie - So the powerball jackpot is 425 million tonight. Let's say you win and can hire ANY band for your party and have ANY celebrity with you to watch said band. All this because you can afford it!

Shoes - Hey Leslie! I want to have Van Halen play at my party. The REAL Van Halen.

Leslie - (Ha ha ) OK - and who's your celebrity?

Shoes - I want Sammy Hagar - I want to tie him up and make him listen to what Van Halen is SUPPOSED to sound like.

Leslie - (Laughs loudly) No red rocker for you then!.

Shoes - It's Diamond Dave all the way.

(Applause from the entire Pioneer Valley)

    Oh dear.

                Awesome story, Shoes!

I had a Van Halen moment while on vacation last week. Played a game with my in-laws and friends called 'Say Anything' in which you read a question and they have to write on a dry erase board how they think I would answer it - then I go around and read each one and pick the answer that I like best. The question I drew? "What is the greatest rock band of all time?" There were a couple of "The Beatles," and naturally my wife and a couple of others answered "Van Halen." But the winning answer was from a family friend who correctly wrote on his dry erase board:

"Van Halen with David Lee Roth!!!"
My karma just ran over your dogma.

I live in a small town, 60,000 people, its name is Tacuarembó city. It´s in the north of Uruguay. Everyone knows me and I Know everyone. Alll radio stations know I´m Van Halen number one fan. Everytime they play a VH song they salute me. I well known because of my work, I´m a lawyer and a soccer couch. But the highest VH moment in my life was when my daugther Agustina, at age 2, ask me to listen Van Halen. She´s six now and still enjoys all VH music and videos, and just like me , only admits THE REAL DEAL!!! VH is DLR, always will be!!!

60,000 is a city, not a small town. Mr. Mellencamp would disagree with you. Basically, if you can go downtown shopping for an entire afternoon, and not get recognized and stopped by at least one person, it's larger than a small town.

Well, my town is 60,000 people, and whenever I go downtown shoping at least half the people salute me, and I really know them. Everyone ´s neighbour, a customer, a soccer fan or a pal. It´s a very comfortable . You should come visit. I invite you all!!!
And because ( between other things) of my persistence- plus my sister is a well known DJ- Van Halen is still very popular on the local radios!!! I have promoted strongly every DLR solo record, so the average tacuaremboense knows him well!!!
