That's funny, cause Chuckie Cheese is fronting Van Halen on their tour.

Ok, lets approach this from another angle if we can.
How many Dave lyrics has Spammy sung in his Van Career?
Now, How many Spammy lyrics has Dave sung in his entire life?
THANK YOU!
Yet this is another thing that will keep Roth Halen from reuniting.
Dave will never agree to do a Spammy tune on Tour......
You know i'm right and it pisses you off that Spam, like it or not, is Dave's bitch for all eternity.
He actually pays Dave every time he belts out a Classic Lyric....
Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Nice decision making Ed and Al bringing back Sammy.

Attendance was 147,000 not including standing room.
It's true 'cause Sammy said so.

Is the tour playing to more people in 80 stops than Dave would solo, absolutely, probably triple.
But is the tour meeting expectations, no. For whatever the reason is I don't know, but I am sure no one organizing this tour thought that they would be playing to 50% capacity in the smaller markets. Hells bells, they were what, 60% capacity on opening night. When was the last time VH didn't sell out opening night on a national tour. Never I would guess. Van Halen is making their money through the guarantees, but the promoter is getting tattooed on shows like Green Bay. Unless the next studio album does well, this will probably be their last big arena tour, with or without Dave, unless they do a combo tour like Journey and Styx did last summer. The promoters will not do this another time around.Comment

This thread is making me light-headed... or maybe it's because I'm getting a BJ from Sam's mom RIGHT NOW.If you listen to fools

I just remeber the MONSTERS OF ROCK tour in '88. Most SHEEP should too. Couldn't sell out the big arenas, had to twist Spermys arm to sing the CLASSIC VAN HALEN songs...and , oh right, GETTING BLOWN OFF THE STAGE BY METALLICA ON A NIGHTLY BASIS!!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I saw The Monsters of Rock tour, and Scorpions kicked everyone's ass that night. Van Hagar was fucking GARBAGE.... they played "Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love", "Jump", and "Panama" from the Dave era, THAT WAS IT!! Meanwhile we all slept through the entire "5150", and "I can't drive 55" bullshit... we left before it was over.... just fucking sad that Ed and Sam had to destroy VH like that.If you listen to fools

That is an interesting comment, given that virtually every single review of the current tour makes reference to Sammy's inability and/or complete avoidance of his own previously reached (screeching) high notes.Originally posted by SNIPER
Dave could never do a Sammy song.
