Now with Pearl Jam releasing a DVD of never before seen concert footage etc, just about every band out their now has a DVD of classic concerts & behind the scenes of the bands when they first started.

Someone mentioned legal issues but I'm not sure that's the real reason Van Halen hasn't put out any live stuff with Dave on the mike.

That's what really drives me nuts --- Wolf prolly sees dusty film canisters in 5150 labeled "1981 Oakland full show raw footage" and "Raddison hotel sex party '79 tour" and how does he react?

Does he think "oh just some old home movies my Dad took" or does he say to himself "Holy fuck, millions of VH fans need to see this awesome shit" ??

For fuck sake --- just post one little Tweet along the lines of "Hey guys, I'm talking to my Pops about releasing some great footage he got stored away. Stay tuned". Throw me a bone here.

I honestly think this would be a boring DVD to watch. I saw both tours live and I closed my eyes at times because I was tired. They were not visually stimulating like... back in the day when I walked barefoot in the snow uphill both ways to/from school. Monotone stage. Ed standing in one spot. Wolfie walking around a little. DLR trying to not hurt himself. Just give me the music, the sound.
