    DLR net worth

According to Celebritynetworth.com Daves net worth in 2009 was 40 million. Not shabby but kind of shocking when they had Michael Anthony @ 60 mil Eddie @ 85 and Sammy @ 120. Pretty interesting site. Alot of shockers on this list. Check it out.

You can call DLR a lot of things, but "lazy" isn't one of them. John 5 told me out of his own mouth, he has a whole album with Dave done. Dave being lazy has nothing to do with the lack of new material. That is simply a fact.

Dave had several pretty lean years...

I harken back to Pojo's story on seeing Dave's show at a dive bar in Corry, PA, close to where both of us grew up... Trust me when I say that Corry is barely big enough even to HAVE a bar, much less one that David Lee Roth would have a show in....

Not to mention that the band member's royalties from the CVH years were peanuts...

MA kept himself busy, and had a fairly steady cash flow coming in, doing Bette gigs...

And EVH had his guitars and flipflops pumping up his income....

So I'm not that surprised at those numbers, if accurate....

Subtract the money spent on No Holds BBQ which likely never earned it's cost back...

Ha ha! Fuck you Twona! If I wasn't spending $3k on the engine for the dune buggy, I'd already have one of each of the striped guitars!

Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!

I wonder if those figures are seriously overestimated?

Apart from Sammy Hagar, who we know sold his Tequila for a very large chunk of money ... was it 60 or 80 million?

I just remember Dave saying on one of those interviews last year that he didn't care if people stole / downloaded the back catalogue because he only got 15 cents an album. Dave seems to have done a lot of travelling, subsidised his own band and projects (didn't that Ice Cream Man video with Nile Rodgers cost a million, according to his book?) - I'd be surprised if he is seriously rich with wealth in the tens of millions, although he has that big house in Pasadena.

Hey... we all have hobbies that we "work" on. Some people build bird houses or dune buggies in their garage... Some people record albums worth of music... The question of actually productivity resulting in tangible output is more what I was eluding to...

For years... supporters of Diamond Dave have always said he's not a singer... he's an entertainer!!!

Well if Dave isn't entertaining anyone other than himself... he ain't workin... if you ain't workin you're either lazy or on vacation!!

                          DLR net worth

I've always assumed DLR was pretty business savvy but not the financial genius some around here make him out to be - at least he has always portrayed himself as that way, particularly in his book. I would be very surprised if he hasn't invested his cash in real estate over the years, or had his broker buying and selling. I find it hard to believe that the Mojo Dojo is the only property he owns.

Pity Dave hadn't invented the stripe. The guitarist hit the mother load with that bad boy.

Seems like the BBQ video was a million plus to produce. And these guys weren't making big bucks while Dave was in the band. The record deal was shit and the tours had to cost a bloody fortune and that's back when tickets were what, 15 bucks or so? Surely Dave restructured his deal after he split the band, so I'd be shocked if he wasn't making a higher percentage off the solo stuff. But those tours were massive too, had to cost a fortune. But Dave had to be worth at least a few mill. And he had to have cashed in on these last two VH tours, had to. I mean, it ain't like the band was spending anything on staging, lighting, etc., and Dave doesn't travel around with an entourage of midgets and hangers on any more. I wonder what Dave was actually getting paid for these last two tours. There ain't no way it was an even split, not with Ed The Terrible running the show.
