im surprised at lil simpson's sales, that is gross that MTV has that much power and say in music.

the VH songs are off the radio here in boston, i will say that i heard 'its about time' on the radio more than i had heard mwm or cgtsn when best of v1 came out. i really can not think of ever hearing either on the radio. i was in syracuse, ny at the time so that might explain it...but do not remember ever hearing either

sammy's last disc wasnt an indie album, at least i dont think it was although i could be wrong so of course it wouldnt chart. i dont think sanctuary is an indie label

Okay, I've heard enough of this fucking loser. John Lennon is gay? How stupid and pathetic can a poster be here? This guy is such a fucking idiot.

His stupid band's new CD, their first in six years, is charting below Avril Lavigne, and her album came out a while ago now. To top it off, only the Dave material is getting anyone to pick this thing up. This is such a joke. Compare these sales with the first week's sales of BEST OF...and also...the first BEST OF had a bit of a sales backlash because a lot of fans were angry that Diamond Dave wasn't coming back. The album was released soon after Dave's announcement. In fact, one of the main reasons the band was so upset with Dave for announcing anything was because they knew the truth that Dave wasn't returning would hurt sales of the BEST OF CD.

Now, with the band practically giving away tickets, with the typical corporate hype trying to pump ticket sales (but you can never polish a turd), and with these poor first week sales, Van Halen is proving once and for all that they were lucky to survive without Diamond Dave the first time. This time, most of the fans demand the best...or nothing at all.

I'm one of them. I'd rather no band than this embarressment that is happening now...

Proof once again of what I always say...Sammy Hagar Van Halen fans are morons. They are usually grammatically-challenged, stupid and politically ignorant.

But they also have horrible musical taste. It figures that a Van Hagar fan wouldn't understand what's brilliant about the music of John Lennon or Brian Wilson. I guess the same human being couldn't appreciate TEN 13 and PET SOUNDS at the same time...they're polar opposites. One album is brilliant (the latter) while the other is embarressingly stupid (the former).
