Does anyone else feel line China Town is Ed giving the middle finger to Steve Vai. That song feels like Shyboy, from the intro, through the chorus where Ed's guitar mimics the vocal line ala shyboy, to the end with the crazy breakdown before the final note.

Furthermore, HBSD definitely feels and sounds like Ed showing Joe Satriani how to play in drop D and use a whammy pedal. If you've heard The Mystical Potatohead Groove Thing or Searching you'll probably understand what I mean.

I have a lot of respect for Steve Vai. Steve once said Eddie Van Halen was one of those rare players that change the world. Steve said Ed is in that category and he is not. Steve is a good player but he knew Ed had that rare magic that only a very few have.

Holy shit! COR is back! I'm listening to new Van HALEN, DLR is still the king, and we're all finally vindicated. Arena rock just got the drop kick in the testicles it's sorely needed for a damn long time! So eat us an smile bitches!

I'm just shocked they are doing The Full Bug, Hang 'em High, Hear about It Later, Women in Love, and Girl Gone Bad. Seriously, I will be beyond happy/ecstatic if they play those songs live in Tulsa.

When we were accusing them of doing nothing and wondering what was going on, VH was busy. Eddie had to have surgery. Wolfie needed to get his stuff together. Those guys invested a whole lot of time and effort and it shows. Sometimes I think they play better now than they ever did. The band is tight.
