Oh, look: Sammy's bath towel boy took his face out of Sammy's lap in time to post more trash

Actually, there is a big difference between the Diamond Dave album and the BOBW 2. Dave released and album of all new RECORDINGS. Since you are not a fan of Dave, but another I-live-with-my-momma you only gravitate towards criticism of him

go to the pen, sheep boy

        Two most excellent tunes!

Man, you can go back and listen to MWM and just imagine what could have/should have followed...

The `96 debacle was, just, just a damn shame.

Yup. ME WISE MAGIC is still one of my favorite songs ever by anyone. It's simply breathtaking. I can't believe that reunion didn't pan out because it would have been a monster. The album would have kicked such ass and the tour would have been incredible...hearing the original band play vintage VH interspersed with new material like ME WISE MAGIC? Man...and these SHEEP think they should be celebrating hearing RUNAROUND and UP FOR BREAKFAST sung by a fat tomato? What's wrong with these people?

I just gave you a high vote, Rogue!!

dont like the two new tunes they did with Roth...i dont think they are very good at all, just think everyone thinks they are causing they are a return with DLR, even though short lived...i dont like the three new songs they did with Hagar either...out of the last 6 new songs minus cherone i think it goes

Human Beings, Me Wise Magic, Cant Get Stuff, Learning to See, Up for Breakfast

and Roth Kills Sam, I wasnt talking about the Diamond Dave CD...I was talking about Best of Volume 1 since everyone dropped the money for two new songs since we already had the others. all i was saying is that if you bought BOBW and are an asshole for just getting three new songs, your logic continues that you are a bigger asshole for buying Best Of V1 for two songs. its dumb logic is what I was pointing out.

I have to disagree, Empyre. If those songs sucked, I would have admitted it in a second. I am one of the only fans to admit that VH3 wasn't all bad and the music was still good in some cases. I even think it was better than pretty much any of the Hagar albums. (Of course, it still sucked and Diamond Dave is the band's only singer.)

Hey, I hate Sam, and I think HUMANS BEING is amazing. How's that for honesty?

But no, I've talked to a lot of fans that genuinely love MWM and CGTSNM. I even did a blind-taste-test with one of my friends (this was maybe a month ago), playing him IT'S ABOUT TIME and then ME WISE MAGIC and asking him to describe each and give his opinions. Now, I didn't tell him which singer was which and I just wanted his opinion of each song. After IT'S ABOUT TIME, he declared: "I don't like that one. It's just cheesy and not really catchy at all. It sucks." Then I played him ME WISE MAGIC. He sat listening, silently. After it had faded out he said, "That one is really good. It's catchy and the guitar work is great. It's also much-better produced and the vocals are really catchy."

Yup. YOU may not like the Roth-reunion songs, but plenty of us do. I remember many a DJ in '96 saying, "This is definitely the best Van Halen since...well...1984."

There's no album in the works because WB fired the Lying Dutchmen, remember?

The "new" greatest hits album with the three godawful Van Hagar songs was probably a legal move designed to free up Eddie to sign with another label.

Only problem is, nobody wants to sign Van Hagar

that would be a fair argument if not for the popular opinion that the new Dave songs kicked the new Sam songs in the you-know-what

Also, it is the continuing trend of yours to blasting a reply that is pro-Dave.... you are not an idiot like many of the sheep here... you just continue to post replies contradicting pro-Dave members' statements... there are many sites interested in your views.... this is not one of them... why spend so much time here? Are you one of Sammy's roadies? Do you wax his back and bikini areas? What id the deal?

and thats cool that you guys like 'em...they just never really caught on with me and I totally agree about the new Hagar tracks...i think they are pretty crappy and hell I even left 'Its ABout Time' off of there so that tells how much i like the song. I cringed when Sam said the title on Stern since you just knew it was going to be cheesy as all hell.

MWM has a great hook to it, probably the last VH song with a strong hook but just not really fond of the songs that much, it just never really caught my attention...but i still have it 2nd on my list behind Humans Beings...I just like the darker feel to the song. I liked some of the stuff on VH3...it definitly felt more like an Extreme disc than a VH disc though but had some bright moments on there.

LOL!:D And I love how Hagar is trying to blame that very fact on "downloading". You know, because there are no record labels anymore. Just as Van Hagar sold 130 millions records more than Van Halen.

                        God, Hagar is pathetic.

roth kills, im not questioning whether or not any likes the new songs...all i am saying is if someone is an asshole for buying a cd with three new songs, what is someone who buys a cd for two new songs? simple question, try and answer it cause that person would have to be a bigger asshole for paying more money for two songs.

my statements are neither pro or anti anything, just answer my question.

"There's no album in the works because WB fired the Lying Dutchmen, remember? my only problem with this is it definitly isnt a legal move to get them out of a contract..they were dropped by WB so there is nothing to drop them from and after those three songs it would take big balls to sign a band with little commerical appeal

you call me out any chance you get but when i ask you a simple question you fade away?? if someone is an asshole for buying a CD for three new songs, what is someone who buys a CD with two new songs? quality doesnt matter since that is all a matter of opinion.

my deal is simple...i like the music. i just am not going to follow blindly with anyone because of "popular opinion." I've said negative things about DLR, Hagar, Eddie...all of them. I'm not pro or anti any of them. The best music DLR did was with Eddie, same with Hagar, and same with Ed, Al, & Mike...the best they did was with sam & Dave. They all need each other and no one "is Van Halen."

You always seem so concerned that I post here...yet you take the time to reply to a lot of my posts. if you dont like what i have to say, just dont read it...simple as that. There is nothing wrong with having a different opinion than the "popular" one

I love vintage VH...but I was skeptical about how good the reunion was going to be in 96...I mean Van Hagar music largely sucked and Dave seemed to be in a rut.. but then I heard MWM and CKTSNM...I along with many others realised this magical chemistry could pick up right where 1984 left off....I was totally pissed when the bros. conned everyone during the MTV awards.......

Actually, John Kalodner would love to sign them to Portrait Records.

Surely you are familiar with Portrait, right? You guessed it: The one record company with the clout so strong that when one goes to BestBuy, one finds that they have shipped a total of TWO copies to the store, for the entire region...and one of the copies is scratched.

                                Yup, that'll work.:D
