There's not much demand for Van Hagar Down Under. Most metal/hard rock fans here prefer 'harder' bands. ACDC, Led Zep, GNR, Ozzy, Metallica, Motorhead and Classic Van Halen are much more popular here. So the 'softer' Van Hagar stuff won't pull in the masses.

BOBW was released here about a week ago and I've still not heard any of the new songs on Adelaide radio. The radio here will only play hard rock that's got a cool hook and groove to it, so there's no chance for Van Hagar.

That's why MWM was well recieved here with substantial airplay.

I've also noticed that the three music stores at my local mall have no BOBW promotional material such as posters or stands to raise awareness of the release. They've just got a few copies on the shelf with the other VH albums, of which most are Dave-era.

Yeah I saw Van Cherone in Adelaide. You probably felt like I did that this would be the only chance to see Eddie, Alex and Mike. I and a few mates actually met Alex at their hotel.

I thought Eddie was great but the gig was boring. Not a sell out but I'd say 7000 in the 10,000 capacity Entertainment Centre. I heard Brisbane was only about 50% capacity.

The US fans are pretty fucking lucky to have Dave and bands like the Punks to go see.

I've been a fan since 1981 but there's no way I'll go see Van Hagar if they come here. I won't go on principle. The way they've treated their fans from the old school days is a fucking disgrace.
