judging from this thread and the " vh tour extended " thread and the fact that Dave has tour dates popping up for the fall and winter, It seems as though the true reunion is still very far off in the distance.... and that my friends SUCKS. But at least Dave is touring. Now all we need is DLRBand II and I suppose I can continue the now 21 year wait...

so basically nothing has changed since 2000? Classic VH has been my favorite band since I first heard them in 82, and I have never seen them live!! i'm not holding my breath waiting for a reunion. and i didn't vote cuz i didn't favor any of the answers. i don't think van halen will reunite with dave, but it's not cuz the sisters won't have him back. they attempted to have him back in the band in 2000 when they wrote those 3 astonishing tunes, but it didn't work (for what ever reasons....money, egos, both, etc.). and i didn't vote for the choice of dave not wanting to be back, cuz we all know that he'd go back in a heart beat, but i'm sure he'd have demands that would HAVE TO BE MET. i'm guessing that is why it didn't work in 2000. dave wanted to be back in, but not bad enough to go back WITHOUT his demands being met. and the sisters wanted him back, but not bad enough to meet his demands. and i didn't vote for the last choice cuz here we all are posting on this thread...still giving a shit.

Well, never say never, right? That sucks that you didn't get to see them. You had to pounce as soon as they went on sale. I saw them in '81 in New Haven, CT. Best concert I've seen, we got up close and my friend caught a pick from Mike.

Dave is training to be an EMT which finishes in roughly November I believe? So he's probably doing it straight after that as he wants to play at the next availible chance.
